Yeah ..it's also likely true that he wouldn't have dared treat La Nicks, then a mega -star of the first magnitude the same way as a back up singer or a studio assistant.

You'd be surprised how many big time classic rock era artists/personalities still use (and I'm not just talking about pot). Just as there are functional alcoholics, there are functional drug users.

But, back to Kenny Loggins. He's just a plain ol' Major League Douchebag.

IMO the term "cokehead" as you described Kenny Loggins implies an out of control addiction ala Stevie Nicks or Mick Fleetwood not just a recreational user or functional drug user.

[Do people routinely kidnap witches? Is that a thing?]

Rolling Stone

“Rhiannon (Will You Ever Win)”

Fleetwood Mac | 1975

After reading a novel about a Welsh witch named Rhiannon, Stevie Nicks not only wrote this song but she also altered her stage persona, taking to wearing black outfits with chiffon lace. "I see her as a good witch. Very positive," Nicks told Rolling Stone of the song's protagonist. "I sink into that whole trip when I'm onstage." Later, as people began to believe Nicks was a sorceress herself, she stopped wearing black for about three years. "I was freaked out that somebody would come and kidnap me because I was a witch," she said.

LOL. Back in the early 80's in High School my friends Mother would always warn me not to listen to Stevie or the Mac because she also claimed Stevie was a witch.

The ignorance and smallness of mind of certain people...
About that guy, the whole case and what he wanted to do to Stevie is shocking and it's also disturbing and sad to read that there's still someone in 2012, even if a total psycho, who still think that homosexuality is a disease and looks for a "cure" for it. If he wasn't a psycho I'd think he's the real Satan's worshiper.

Julie Brown always said Stevie sold her soul to the devil so I'm a believer.

One of the Ed Winnsenstein (sp?) books claims that Stevie is summoning the devil in the lyrics to Gold Dust Woman and then proceeds to totally mis-quote the song. But people are stupid so there are those that will buy into it.

I couldn't agree with you more. In fact it's stupid people's fault if false gossip has begun to spread about Stevie over the years. There has always been people who gained money with it, fooling gullible and mentally backwarded people and without worrying about the fact that such rumors can ruin the life, reputation and career of a person, in addition to put her at huge risks (that article about Stevie's psycho molester is just an example of it).
