I'm listening to the "Have No Heart" demo now, and it's got me thinking...when was this song recorded?
I know it leaked around the time of the TISL demos (Thrown Down, Not Make Believe...and also Space Needle, but who knows when that was recorded, too). But, on Have No Heart, her voice sounds much more like "Street Angel" Stevie. So, any guesses on when this might have been recorded? Like I said, from her voice (and given the context of the song), my guess would be somewhere around the just-post-Klonopin years...so '94-96. Thoughts? |

I never would have caught it myself, but you're totally right. She is implementing the very aggressive, strong vibrato which was her signature the Street Angel era (more specifically, the SA tour). My guess is you nailed the timing: post Street Angel album/pre the Dance. Stevie had such excellent control of her voice during this time period. Her vocals were so strong & passionate.

My guess would be 1995.
