Quote:
'So I search to find an answer there. So I can truly win'. Also 'Time cast a spell on you but you won't forget me. I know I could have loved you but you would not let me. ' I love a lot of the words from 'Real Tears', 'Sisters of the Moon', 'Outside the Rain'...there's just too many wonderful lyrics to name!

I've always liked her analogy "like a ghost through the fog," which she uses more than once. It's witty, and true!

Also, "I think that is the meaning of love, and I'm prepared to kick it!"

Got a few:
"He fell for her again, she watched it happen...." "I'll follow you down 'til the sound of my voice will haunt you. You'll never get away from the sound of the woman that loves you" "In this same place I sit, the same place as before. Well I came all the way here just to watch you walk out that door."

I’ve always thought it a shame that so many of her best lyrics are in her lesser known and unreleased songs. (The public gets to hear singles like "Every Day" instead of songs she herself created as masterpieces.) The first ones I list are my top choices.
“Burning… burning… hopefully learning…” “Well, you could use a dreamer, I think, somewhere on your side” “And then he sees her coming, Heartbeats on the wind, Considers slowing down, But then he could never win” “Just like the sea, I rock a little” “Fire on fire, Rain on my face, Fever goes higher, What can you do?” “Living in a sanctuary, was mine alone” “And a song begins to begin like a wolf on the run” “I have always been a storm” “Running through the garden , I’m running in brilliant colors” “Well you know me, I’m a nomad, I can’t feel bad about the way I am” "And the days go by like a strand in the wind, In the web that is my own I begin again" “I was the dealer, and it wasn’t hard” “Come in out of the darkness” “Jesse told me at an early age I could get away” And not to forget, the two favorite Stevie pick-up lines: “Sunflowers and your face fascinate me” “In this town full of strangers, in this town full of fools, Venus doesn’t glitter when she stands next to you” - Jake

I don't have to think about it. Immediately I know it is:
Never have I been a blue calm sea, I have always been a storm

I've always really loved:
"I'm old enough to love you from afar. Too trusting, yes, but then women usually are." ^^Something about that is just heartbreaking in the most beautiful, fragile way.^^ Oh and another one that I don't think has been posted: I never did not love you I never did run from you In a dream I said to you That I would always love you There are so many more but I'll limit it to those two for now.

I"m glad I started this thread because it just reminds me how many great lines she has. She really worked on the lyrics.
