Yes! That part gives me chills everytime I watch/hear it.

Two of my all-time favorite Stevie snippets are the "oooh's and aaaahs" at the beginning of "Blue Lamp" and the end when she sings a string of "and the stars still laugh and cry and shine and the stars still laugh and cry and shine etc..."

and who can forget the gutteral cat-like wail in the middle of EO17? Arguably the most well-known solo Stevie snippet.

What jumped out in my mind immediately when I read this was the entire ending of 'Storms.'

"We were frail~
She said every night he will break your heart...
I should have known from the first~
I'd be the broken hearted...
I loved you from the start..."

And then the part that gets me every time:

"Save us~
And not all of the prayers in the world...
Could save us..."

So Sad!

Ya, I LOVE Blue Lamp too, but I don't like how at the end it gets going really strong "....the light that I caried from my father's home...." and then it fades out. Is there an extended version of that song?

I think it's "mother's home"--but I love that song too!

I even bought a blue lamp after I first heard that song!

If I'd have written a song on "Rumours"? How about "You want a what?", or "We should have had a Pre-Nup". (John McVie)

There are tons, many of which are already mentioned above, that I just love!!!

Really, I could pick at least one from every song. Here are a few that come to mind.

WH: "Fire on fire, rain on my face" (I picture the shot of her in the black dress in the Gypsy video)

RTTG: "Runnin' through the garden/I'm running in brilliant colors" (I'm not kidding I almost typed "I'm running in all black fabrics" just now. Damned song parodies!)

The Dealer: "I would be the passion/You could be the play"

LFTM: "And maybe, if that woman could make you crazy/Did she call out/Did she say please save me tonight...tonight...tonight"

Nightbird: "DO-do-do DO-do-do"

The Highwayman: "Today and still today they ride/Will they ever win"

Blue Lamp: "And the light that shines through the shining night"

Sanctuary: "MmmMmmm...mine alone"

- Jake

Default Also...

SOTM: "And a black widow spider makes more sou-ound than she"

Garbo: " I love to waltz with a man in a __________/All alone at a party with someone I knew/From a time gone by, turned to stone"

- Jake

". . . Well, I've got all these things
All these things
But a small gold band
On my finger
On my left hand"

So ironic that Stevie wrote "Rose Garden" in 1965 - it now seems so sad.

I love the way she sings

"Don't condescend to me"

in the No Light demo.
