Wow. So I did monitors for a festival(ran my friend's gear this time - we trade favors, mixing for each other, when we're not booked with our own equipment). This is a Yamaha PM3000, with 40 channels. Back in the 90's, this was pretty much THE top notch mixer, at pretty much any arena show you saw. I can't find an original list price for them, but I've been told they were around 40K! Well, so my friend and I are usually pretty gentle, with what we charge each other...so I was going to ask for $400-500. Well, he just dropped 20-25K on a new digital mixer...he said, "man, if you'd be interested in taking this PM3000 off my hands, we'll just swap, EVEN". EVEN!!!! How could I say no???? I've searched online, and they sell for between 3-5K! I would add this to my own equipment, but it is SO HEAVY(it took me an hour to get it into my house, because it's so heavy[I had no help at the time], that I couldn't LIFT it, to get it over the door threshold. It was stuck, and I had to use a floor jack to get it over the threshold!), that I doubt I'll do that. JTIS.
