I guess it's all in how you take it. I don't think he's been bashed. I love them both as everyone should now by now, but I also make fun of their quirkiness and call Stevie on the carpet all the time for her a-hem "exaggerations". Y'all have another group where you can control your members better. This is an open forum and unless the moderators deem the posts out of line, it's not fair to bully anyone into staying out of a forum based on their comments or opinions just because you don't like what they say. I guess Ken Caillat better stay away!

I for one am very glad LB is doing these meet and greets. I don't think the cost of them is outrageous in any way. For what I am paying for front row center seats plus a meet and greet, I could maybe get front row at a Stevie Nicks show if I was lucky. Overall, the response to these meet and greets has been positive. Of course there will be a few people who have bad or less than stellar experiences, you have that with anything. Just because there was one poorly organized and rushed meet and greet, doesn't mean we should automatically be calling for an end to them. While I feel bad that not everyone was thrilled with this meet and greet, I am still excited beyond belief for mine and feel very lucky that I am able to get this chance to meet Lindsey, say a few words, and get a picture. Never have I had this chance before with any other artist.

It seems like a lot of the meet and greet venom comes from Stevie fans. You know you would jump all over something like this if she ever offered it. I may not be a Stevie fan, but I would never begrudge any of them an opportunity like this if it was available.

Actually, I benefit from sharing about it here because other fans can tell me that they relate and make me feel better about it. Thanks, fellow Ledgies!
Hi Nancy!

I had pretty much the same experience as you. Planned out everything I would say for weeks/months and then ended up blubbering like an idiot. Forgot to get something signed and had to turn back, he was gracious enough to sign for me anyway. I look back at the experience with a mixture of utter embarassment and glee.

I'm glad he's given us all this opportunity. Even if he can't always be "on." I know he's a guitar god, but he's still human, after all (at least partially, right?).

And just my two cents - the m&gs are worth it. Even if you blubber.

Susan

I must politely disagree with that generalization! I consider myself bi-partisan on Stevie/Lindsey most of the time but border on being more chiffon-oriented. I really freaking love both of them....but I don't know that I would jump at the chance for a meet & greet with Stevie simply because I love my daughter and am not prepared to sell her off in order to pay for that opportunity.

I should clarify what I meant here. I meant that if Stevie offered something similar what Lindsey is doing, including price. I know you can sometimes get meet & greets with her now, but they are generally by way of expensive charity auctions which is not what I meant but should have made clearer.

You are still paying to attend the meet & greet. I don't think has anything to do with luck, unless you won the money to purchase the tickets. I personally feel the artists are lucky fans choose to support them by buying their music and tickets, especially in this economy when entertainment sometimes has to be sacrificed for necessities. I may be glad an artist does a m&g, but I'm not lucky unless I meet them at random somewhere.

Sure I am paying for it, but I feel it's a nominal amount considering what other artists charge for the same privilege. There is some luck involved, there are a limited number of these tickets available (20 per meet and greet, I believe) so you do need to be aware of when they are going on sale ahead of time and get in before other people looking to purchase them as well. I also think we are lucky he is even offering these as he doesn't need to do it. And he's not doing it for the money as he is hardly making a killing off of them.

And really, debating the difference between "lucky" and "glad" is getting into sematics. If it makes you feel better, substitute "glad" for "lucky" in my post and you get exactly the same outcome. I am happy, thrilled, ecstatic, over the moon, excited, pumped, etc. that Lindsey is offering these meet and greets, as are many other fans.

^You know the semantics argument gets old when it boils down to people using the wrong word, but my point is HE is the one who is lucky you care enough to buy his tickets! And, No, I know he's not doing it for the money. But, I feel like its part of his job in a way. And, I feel like he works for me. If fans didn't buy their stuff these artist would not have a job. I just think the artists should show a little gratitude to the fans.

That being said, I know it's beyond LB's comfort zone a bit and even though I haven't been able to purchase tickets for a m&g, I'm glad he has participated. I'll tell you what is lucky though- he's not making those God awful faces in pics like he did for the entire SYW tour m&g's.

Can I get an amen?! Bahahaha. Those faces were both horrible and hilarious.

We will just have to agree to disagree then, because I do feel very lucky to have this opportunity. Feelings are subjective, so I don't know how what I'm feeling can be wrong. Sure, he's lucky we buy tickets, albums, etc., but we are also lucky he is still doing this. I'm sure at this point he could easily retire if that's what he wanted.

I don't think I've seen pics from the SYW meet and greets, but he sure is looking fine in the pics I've seen from the meet and greets so far this tour

The trick is to meet him as many times as possible - the nerves subside a little more each time until you are able to actually speak "normally" with him instead of idiotic babble.

Unfortunately, the babble times that we cringe about remain with us forever - although he has forgotten them immediately after they happen!

I highlighted 2 sections here - but I actually do agree with most of your post.......who woulda thought it!

I think he does appreciate the loyalty though - he certainly always seems to appreciate the fact that I keep coming over from England!

Although he hasn't offered to pay my airfare yet

You're exactly right! I kept saying to myself "it doesn't matter, he's not going to remember me!"

Now, you, on the other hand, might not be so fortunate.
