I think she would be more likely to make a new album if she did American Idol. It would give her more fans. I don't think we will ever see another solo album from her. As far as the Fleetwood Mac Tour is concerned, I think that is a waste. They should be recording or her and Lindsey should get BN out there.

I would lose all respect for her , it is bad enough she was on it as a "mentor"

I agree with everything you said.

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

I like the idea .But I don't.It will take her away from other projects. The job would be great for other artists that are not active in the biz.

I agree with the comments about that will put a stop on her other works.
It would be great cash for her if she does the show.

Mick should of picked up the gig a couple years ago.He would of be a good judge.

I not a fan of the show.

If she only signed for one season the mac could hit the road right after the finale...talk about jazzing up ticket sales if they performed on the show. Also it would give them more incentive to cut an EP of 5-6 songs to boost up enthusiasm for a new tour.

I agree on the one season stint. That will give the producers time to find another judge to replace her.

That's a good point! Didn't think of that. But gotta say all her recent teasing about never doing another greatest hits tour left me feeling there's a 50/50 chance she’d make 1 more album. Or maybe she’s just planning those epic request shows with cookies and beer.

I think she's too good for AI. Know it’s a big deal ratings show, but always thought it was super tacky
But....if she had a role along the lines of, or better yet, alongside of Jpants Jimmy Iovine, thats something I could get behind. Maybe we could get mac setup at Interscope, or Stevie if she's outta her Warners contract.

From the "Ask Stevie" part of The Official Stevie Nicks Website: "Question 132 - from Tammy in Nashville
Do you ever watch American Idol and if so, what do you think of it?
Stevie's answer:
I do watch it sometimes, I think it’s very funny, and if I was a judge I would be Simon Cowell!"

I think Stevie would jump at that chance of Idol. She is very smart. She would not be doing the Rod Stewart tour if she were not.

I would have to agree. I stopped watching Idol when Simon left. It seemed he took the talent and dynamic with him. I enjoyed X-Factor much better. I still love the voice of Drew Ryniewicz.
I'd prefer if Stevie wouldn't even consider such a job. I think it would be pretty grueling on her voice as well, especially during all the auditions.
Now if Fleetwood Mac was to perform on the show I'd probably watch.

Two words..

HELL. NO.

She would be the token Paula Abdul, kind of spacey and over the top positive and respectful to those with no talent. Noone would take her seriously again.

DO NOT WANT, I seriously might have to burn my BD vinyl if this happens.

I disagree. When she was a mentor last season, she was very insightful and able to give the contestants meaningful personalized adviced, suited to the type of artist each wanted to become. Although some people might expect her to be spacey, she was anything but, and there was NO similarity to Paula Abdul.
