I can understand the broke dept.My property taxes are due now.I endup giving Stevie the money to pay a sliver of hers .LOL.Got to the end of the month to come up with the money which I will.

I love Moonlight I've been having it looped around in my head for days now.

Oh I would like to hear "The First Cut Is The Deepest" together.

Now it looks like no tunes together.

Well, it sounds like you have very good memories from the last time you saw her solo. So, if that ends up being the very last time, you probably won't have a lot of woulda/shoulda regrets.

Gold would be a good song to sing with Rod and maybe another song not of there catalog a song by another artist might work better.

Default Dim All Th Lights

I know this may sound weird, but years ago Donna Summer wrote a song, yes she wrote it alone without Moroder or Bellotte (or so I read), and it was intended to give it to Rod Stewart, but changed her mind at the last minute.

That song is Dim all the lights, a hit that reached N.2 in Billboard in 1979. I think it would be nice to hear it in a Rod way, not disco exactly, and I think Stevie fits also in a duet version with Rod.

Listen how Donna starts this song according to a posibble Rod Stewart version:

I once heard someone say that if you played 'Somebody That I Used to Know' backwards, it sounded like you were listening to Fleetwood Mac singing in a Russian dialect.

Gasp. Only Lindsey please... or solo.

But, I'm thinking duets with Rod are a moot point by now.

Apart from the IYD songs, she did the same songs all over again. So I don't feel I missed anything, except for the pictures of her mom on the screen. I think she just really feels we like the same old songs. Because she's not changing anything.
I didn't see her for the IYD tour, although I would have liked to. At least it was promoting a new cd and had some new songs. I would love to hear Italian Summer live - that would be goosebumpy. I don't even know what IYD songs she did live. I really should spend some time on youtube.

I'm just wondering why people that are unhappy with
the set list and who she's touring with are still planning
on going to the show(s)?

Unless I was financially involved in a show (those days are
over), there's no way I'd go and see an artist that I was unhappy
with for the reasons stated multiple times in many threads here
on The Ledge by various Ledgies.

I decided years ago I wouldn't see Stevie again. While she
certainly wasn't at her peak, it was still an enjoyable show
the last time I saw her. I have no interest in seeing an artist
on what is a natural downhill slide.

As a fan she gave me Bella Donna and The Wild Heart plus a
few good concerts. That's good enough for me. I walked away satisfied.

On a side note, I'm better at jokes than being serious. The real me
will be back soon.
What was your last Stevie show? I missed out on her BD and WH tours. But I ended on Enchanted and got very close, and left her a present. So that was my last and if I don't see her again, well, it was a very good show with some different songs and great seats. These days I just think the prices are crazy. I am too fruggle, I guess.

I'd prefer she put out a dvd of a show, it costs less and it's a front row seat. I am annoyed the IYD documentary never came out and so the thought of a Rod tour or any more greatest hits tour, either solo or with Mac, I am just not as interested.

I also would rather hear more new stuff than old. They all have gotten older, voices changed, matured, etc. all that great stuff. And they have put out many more cd's. I'd rather hear mostly newer songs and fewer old classics. Like, as much as I LOVED Storms, that is 70's Stevie. I want to hear new millenium Stevie - Bombay Sappire, Love Changes, Trouble in Shangra La, Love Is, Running Through the Garden, Everybody Finds Out, Destiny Rules, and she could throw in the Practical Magic version of Crystal, that was close enough to the 2000's. Touched By An Angel, etc. And lots of IYD's. I just don't think she'll ever do a better version of say, Rhiannon, GDW, Edge of 17 again than she already has done. She's done amazing things with them all. Retire some of those songs with the old, ripped, falling apart shawls.

Sorry, I ranted, I got carried away. lol!

Maybe she was just keeping her distance because she knew he was coming down with something and had cooties. Once he's back in fine form, she might be all over him, young turking it up.
