Yes, I agree totally. They could sing a two-part harmony on, "If I listened long enough to you, I'd find a way to believe that it's all true. Knowing that you lied straight- faced while I cried. Still I look to find a reason to believe. Someone like you makes it hard to live without somebody else. Someone makes it easy to give I never think about myself." At least there would be a connection unlike the songs they're singing together now!

Furious about the comment Rod made. Stevie will be remembered long after his showboating vegas shtick is forgotten.

I agree I don't like Rod's comment about Stevie either she is always nice to him and she knows his songs more than he knows hers and the duets together are not great either there is definetly no magic between the two on stage I have to say I didn't see them when the played here in March 2011 at Mohegan Sun Arena one thing I didn't have the money at time to do it. Saw the you tube videos of the shows and definetly there is no magic between Stevie and Rod he doesn't even have the respect to sing Leather and Lace it seems like he has no interest at all to perform with Stevie and it shows. Maybe they should try another song of hers. He even says Leather and Lace is one of his favorites by her and Landslide. I think it would be cool for them to do Standback but Standback is totally stevie song that you don't touch. Hopefully there will be no more touring with Rod Stewart.

I'm furious about the comment Rod made about Stevie.I hope this is the end of the combo tour. The tour is great for stevie to pay some bills. She down need to get her balls to get broken.I still think the first round of this tour screwed up her release of IYD when she got sick from that tour.

I like Rod Stewart and his music.I'm not knocking him and his tunes. But this tour is a mismatch.

Well, whatever Rod might have said, the tour is advertised like it's a co-headlining tour and the reviews we've seen treat it like that as well. So, the public perception is not that she's opening for him, whether she is or not.

I like Rod too but I don't think they are compatable together at all. I think they should just tour by themselves and tour as an evening with shows rod does his thing and Stevie does her thing I prefer an evening with tours instead of double headling acts its nice but it just makes the tickets high priced where if its high priced i won't go to the show.Especially at these hard economic times the past 4 years or so.Stevie don't need the money she has plenty of it and so does Rod they have more money than everyone of us on this board will ever see,Stevie is reasonable on her own tours I think

If i do go, i will have to reschedule some things at work. I think i will go and just buy a sh*tty ticket. That will be a first for me since 1986! No Moonlight is a big factor for me too.

Jannie I'm only using your comment as an example.
But why go at all if everyone is so disappointed with
Stevie's choice of songs, or even her co-headliner?
If I weren't looking forward to seeing the artist, there's
no way I'd go to the trouble and expense of going to
see the show.

Is she and Rod are true co-headliners they'll take turns
on who opens and closes the show.

Personally if it were me, I'd rather play smaller venues solo
and know that the people out in the audience were there to
see me and not some other even older artist.

There's no guarantee that if you pass up one concert that you'll get another chance next year. She might not tour or she might not come to your city. If you don't go now and she doesn't come back for 3 years -- there's no guarantee what kind of show she'll be able to put on in 3 years. She might be Judi Dench by 2015.

I can understand wanting to see her when she's close, whether or not you're pleased with the choices, just because you don't know when the opportunity will arise again.

I've been trying to get into it, but haven't really. These days, it Comes on after my Hyacinth, whom I love. Don't say Bucket!

Most of the old British sitcoms are on DVD now, but that's just not enough. I like to be able to find them on my dial. After all these decades, I'd still sit and watch an Are You Being Served marathon.

I would really love for them to do a duet version of "Sailing".........that would be really beautiful with their ranges. OR, I would love for them to do Stevie's "The Highwayman" as a duet.

I wasn't trying to talk people out of going to see her.
I'm just wondering why people that are unhappy with
the set list and who she's touring with are still planning
on going to the show(s)?

Unless I was financially involved in a show (those days are
over), there's no way I'd go and see an artist that I was unhappy
with for the reasons stated multiple times in many threads here
on The Ledge by various Ledgies.

I decided years ago I wouldn't see Stevie again. While she
certainly wasn't at her peak, it was still an enjoyable show
the last time I saw her. I have no interest in seeing an artist
on what is a natural downhill slide.

As a fan she gave me Bella Donna and The Wild Heart plus a
few good concerts. That's good enough for me. I walked away satisfied.

On a side note, I'm better at jokes than being serious. The real me
will be back soon.

I understand your point of view but for me, it's not that I am disappointed in her choice of songs, I'm just kind of broke right now- lol. And I've seen her so many times. Do I really need to spend the money again? I *loved* seeing Moonlight when I saw her in Colorado- that one song is a big draw for me.

I have been spoiled with being in the first few rows for so many years that it's hard for me to suck it up and buy a cheap (realistic for my budget) ticket. Will I be frustrated alllll the way back there, or will I be able to enjoy her show?

And then, there's this.

I have to make a decision, though. I have to run a group that night until 6pm but I would need to reschedule my 6pm and 7pm clients.
