well she's had a lot of practice , she is answering the same questions for a few years now, any kind of spontaneous talk show died with Johnny Carson Mike Douglas , and Merv Griffin ,(Letterman/Craig Ferguson tries to keep it fresh LENO IS FOR THE EXTREME BRAIN DEAD ) Now it's all about the BRAND(the Artist) , otherwise it will confuse the consumer(you the fan),it's about convincing the consumer this is what they want/need the kartrashian woman is a perfect example her was a woman with no talent , who's mother sold a porn tape of her being urinated on by the brother of a fading star , and it worked ..like reality tv the media sells it you buy it .

She will probably never do an in-depth interview unless it will further the brand, or sell a product.

The interview was beautiful and terrible at the same time.
Beautiful, because Stevie said wonderful things and she also mentioned Chris and the fact that she was her best friend (and she said she's hot!), so she was devastated when in 1998 she left the band.
Terrible because Gayle King, the "journalist" (but I wouldn't call her like that, at this point) kept overspeaking her with stupid "Hmm, hmmm, yeah, yeah" sounds and interrupting with inconvenient and indelicate questions, trying in all possible ways to find out gossip about something that happened 30 years ago. Oh, and that word..what was it? "Boinking"? Well, it was the best of the worst. Maybe Ms. King forgot that it wasn't a porn show And then, was it REALLY necessary to reminds her about her drugs addiction? It's another thing that is part of her past by now.
Anyway, Stevie was great. This woman must be really a saint for having so much patience.... She's really a pro, as many of you said.

I didn't think the interview was bad at all. Because it has been such a long passage of time, I think the boinking and cross-pollination references would be amusing, if we hadn't been reading about that stuff for the last 100 years. I thought it was bad because it was so stale, not because it was presumptuous. The only thing I think was out of place was, "didn't your mother ever teach you . . ." Stevie should have answered, "She did, but she's dead now."

I'm not sure why Erica was so quiet, but I thought Gayle was ok, overall. I just wish Stevie had gotten to finish her thought about the tour. Gayle's like, "Did you hear Erica's question," and I was thinking, "Well, would you let us hear Stevie's answer?"

Sure, Stevie is out there "promoting" IYD, but she isn't offering anything new with this tour and FM sure didn't offer anything new with Unleashed.
Yes, even when you extend your tour on the same album, if you can add something new to the setlist that will get your repeat concertgoers excited all over again.

Stevie could have added one new song from IYD for this year.

True! The lead-in video probably helped plant him in her brain (not that she needs help).

HA! Yeah, that would have shut Gayle up! Stevie did start to say something about her parents in regards to Lindsey though, but she changed her course.

For real! I know sometimes they have to cut Stevie off because she can just talk and talk and talk and do a little song and talk and talk and talk. But, the bull in the china shop interview style just doesn't go over well at all. I always end up mad at the journalist and feeling hurt for the person being interviewed and ticked off that I didn't get to hear them finish their thought.

That's how it was with the Jim Ladd interview last fall! He would kind of prompt her with a statement or a kind of vague question, and then he'd just let her ramble on and tell her stories... She was on that show talking for how long, like 4 hours or something? It was amazing.

Yeah, it was right before a commercial break a segment or two before she came on. They were sitting on adjoining couches chatting it up.

Interesting. Sort of looked like Waddy attire, but I think the hands are too young.

If anyone that "taped" the CBS show has a clip of the green room ... feel free to share...

Really?? I thought Charlie was sort of enamored. He kept wanting to talk about her. lol

I read that Norah O'Donnell is replacing Erica Hill on the Morning Show. This must have been in the works when Stevie was there. I think Erica just asked Stevie one question. It actually seemed like a two person interview, not like the View where you have 10 people (well, ok, 4) talking over each other to ask you questions.

It was a great interview, Stevie was in good spirits and looked beautiful........but yeah Gail King making the comment, "There was alot of pollinating going on" was kind of tacky. If she knew anything about Stevie......she would know Stevie would not like that question at all,

The other comment I found not cool was when she told Stevie "Didn't your mother ever tell you............????" Way to be sensitive to someone that lost their mother a few months ago...........but, Stevie kept it together. Just makes me love her even more, she is so delicate......but so strong.
