We seem to have two different things - a new BN album or just a BN tour?

Well, right now it seems that they only thing that's really been mentioned by BOTH of them, is re-releaseding BN and possibly doing a show or two to promote it. (And I personally think they'd be smart to film the show for their 40th anniversary and release it alongside the CD as a special edition package or something.)

At this point talks of a real tour or a new album are still just wishful thinking.

EQ won't do much to help tighten harmonies. Pitch correction will make them tighter. However, doing tight harmonies just means two people being able to sing in tune and in time. If both can do this then the harmonies will be perfect. I've heard plenty of live bands do unbelievably perfect harmonies so there's no reason that, if the time and effort is put in, Lindsey and Stevie couldn't do or rework their harmonies and be tight.

That said, I'd rather they just pump out the CD with a nice selection of bonus tracks and Lindsey gets back to his solo work (preferably an album before more touring)

If Stevie and Lindsey spent enough time together and worked on their harmonies like I'm assuming they used to ~back in the day, then I think they are very capable of creating that same great sound they used to [albeit a few keys lower ]. Because you're exactly right - it's all about timing and pitch, and you've got to have an intuitive knowledge of the person you're singing with so you can match their tone, pronunciation, inflection, everything, and stay with them.

Years in small vocal ensembles doing mostly a capella pieces taught me that.

The only thing that made it decent for me was the fact that Lindsey's introductions to it became intriguing as the tour was about to end. I preferred the studio version.

Even so, I think they still sound good together on SHN live. I think they can do tight harmonies.

But they can change the songs in ways we can't anticipate. Say You Love Me was the highlight of The Dance tour for me and it was different than all it's previous incarnations.

The arrangements on the old songs may be different and we might like those arrangements better.

Good idea. A one off Soundstage maybe. Get it televised. That would be a great idea and if it created enough buzz, then that's how you would go about drumming up interest for a tour afterwards. Introduce people to this duo.

Ok, ok. I got a little carried away when I said sublime. I just meant the Soundstage version still showcased great harmony. I really don't like the sped up recording.

Agree, new arrangements are interesting as long as its on something they've done live a million times or doesn't destroy the integrity.

Stevie & Lindsey do not have a problem harmonizing anyway. They have been singing together for roughly 40 years. They know each other's nuances and they are rehearsal whores. All they need is to get back to those basics. They could be there in a relatively short time.

I can't picture them ever going on a "Buckingham Nicks" Tour with John and Mick still alive/medically able to perform. Mick would probably have a moo-cow if he found out they were going out sans Fleetwood Mac.
