I was in the front row on the extreme right during the Edge walk, and I can attest to the incident as well. Although I didn't actually see it happen because it involved someone in the 2nd or 3rd row, people around me told me after the fact that someone tried to forcefully push his way past others in an effort to get to Stevie. I saw Stevie look a bit perplexed and teeter forward a little while her assistant pulled her back. Then she started to chide the person causing the ruckus, and told him or her to "STOP" quite directly. Of course, by the time she got to me, the incident was still fresh, and so she was quite distracted and I couldn't even say anything to her. I really wanted to just tell her that I admire her courage coming out on tour so soon after a personal tragedy and that I wished her and her family the best. Sigh, oh well...
Although that incident was jarring enough, it seemed Stevie was in good spirits about it at the very end after "Love Is." She did her little bows and walked up to the front of the stage, and then gave a side glance over to my end of the stage to whomever caused the incident. She did this cute little mock-chiding point-and-stare, and then shadowboxed with her hands for a second or two. It was adorable lol. Last edited by Spacedog2; 07-03-2012 at 09:57 AM.. |
