The funny thing is in this pic Lindsey does the same kind of lip-biting thing as Stevie always does.

Just playing devil's advocate here, I don't wear contacts or glasses but my eyes get swollen, red and irritated when I cry sometimes.
It just seems a strange coincidence that both Stevie & Lindsey have tear action going on in this video...

It also happens to me. And my nose start to drip and then closes as if I had a cold.

Indeed, but when I am crying, the swelling seems to happen more evenly on both sides. Bilateral eye irritation. Equal optical leaking opportunity.

Stevie's "tear" is strange in that it seems to be further over than her eye actually is. Obviously, when you cry tears come out of the edge of your eye, especially if you turn your head or wipe them, but this tear seems to be falling straight down from the edge of her eye. I suppose she wiped the others away.

Buckingham could very well wear hard contacts. I do myself, so I kinda recognize the irritable signs. For instance, if I get anything foreign in my eye at all (especially under the lens) my sinuses go nuts... immediate tears, runny nose, that sort of thing. It's not a pretty sight!

I don't think the tear placement is strange at all. If you don't wipe it away, it rolls down your cheek. Since she was in the middle of a video shoot she may have been trying not to wipe it away. I'm not saying they were having crying fits on the set. But, be it tears from crying, tears from contacts, tears from lighting - it's still tears, from both Stevie and Lindsey. Make of it whatever. It is what it is. Poor editing too, but great fodder. lol

Yes, rolls down your cheek, but not that far to the side of your eye. Usually rolls straight down from where the duct is.

Anyway, I wouldn't doubt that Stevie was crying. I'm sure she cries about something every day. Certainly, she often cries on stage.

Crazy our topics here. My tears do no such thing, though. Yes, initially they will roll straight out of the duct, but upon build up they overflow out of the other corner and roll down my cheek, as in the picture of Stevie.

Yes, upon build up they come out of the side. Or if your head is turned they come out of the side. Or if you brush them away they come out of the side. But there's no build up or welling in her eyes that would push one lone, isolated tear out that way. There's no residue indicating that she wiped her face and forced them over that way. Maybe her head was tipped and they came out of the side, but the place where the tear is falling is almost entirely clear of her eye, it's over so much.

But as I said, Stevie cries all of the time. I'm 100% sure she was crying during that shoot for some reason or another. The buckle on her shoe might have come off and it was a buckle her favorite aunt gave her. That's always good for a good weep.

That "tear" on the picture just looks strange to me.

Let me say this about 1987 in general, the Seven Wonders shoot having nothing to do with tears.

In 1987 I think Lindsey cried. I think Stevie cried. I think Christine cried. I think they all cried. And I mean that literally. I actually think John cried. That press conference where Christine is trying to emphasize the invigoration they feel with Lindsey gone, but admits that there was some sadness and John says, "definite sadness" as if he's not going to put a pretty face on the pain, that gets to me.

Did it tear out Stevie's __________ heart when Lindsey left? Yes, I think it did.

Was Lindsey at home laughing to himself saying he was glad to be rid of them? No, I don't think he was. I think he was at home mourning.

Little Lies? Sorrow there.

I don't think those screen caps mean anything, but I think tears abounded in 1987. I still cry over it myself. I still cry about Lindsey's BTM appearances in 1990. I love them. They love each other. There's nothing not to cry about.

Michele
