Jack White's studio is in Nashville too

Oooh, maybe she'll do an album with him! NOT.

As much as I love rocker Stevie, I have to agree with this. I would love to hear new, stripped down arrangements of her old stuff. I think that would be interesting.

I think Stevie sounds better with acoustic or stripped type stuff, anyway. At one point even Stevie said this was how she preferred her music - I think she said if she had it her way, they'd all sound like Leather & Lace.

An acoustic album would be so great to see. I wouldn't mind a remix album of IYD either. Guess we'll just have to wait and see what comes of everything.

Remember people, this is only a rumour, started by a fan. Stevie has never confirmed a new record for this summer.

No, it's not a rumor; it was stated on a "legit" news source:

Thanks for posting that Ed.

I hope Stevie will let us in on it at her shows plus do some new tunes from the new CD.

Hence my use of the word "legit" in quotation marks. No, contactmusic.com is not in a league with the New York Times. But I think it is safely above and beyond the level of fans spreading idle gossip around the interwebs. I think it's fairly safe to say that no new album will be forthcoming in the summer. But who knows what may happen beyond that? I doubt she has been spending the last ten months painting her toenails and watching reality TV (not that there is anything wrong with that )

If he worked magic with Loretta Lynn,
I wonder what he could do with Stevie?

DJ Juan Maclean supposedly remixed secret love... below is the link to the thread with more info. I would love to hear it if exists.....at this point I am surprised it has not leaked out.........but, I agree with you...."Moonlight" would sound great remixed. Actually so would "In Your Dreams" and "For What It's Worth"......I know it sounds out, but take out all of the music when you think about it, and then add a fast beat and synths to it...... they could get some really good vocal samples from this song. Especially "In Your Dreams".......I could hear that being a sassy club song....

And Contact Music was quoting a source from the National Enquirer, so take it for what it's worth.
I wouldn't be holding my breath for this album, in fact I'd be willing to bet that you won't see a new album from Stevie any time soon.
