Ummm... this IS the Rumours section. I deliberately posted it here and not the Stevie forum because, although it's a Stevie quote, it concerns a tour for the band.

With the exception of Big Love and Silver Springs, these songs were pure nostalgia by 1998 anyway.
I agree...the thing is, their catalog has a lot of untapped potential. They could mix up their set a LOT and STILL keep warhorses around like The Chain, Dreams, Gold Dust Woman, Rhiannon, Tusk, Go Your Own Way, Don't Stop.

There should be a set of Buckingham Nicks songs...Crying in the Night, Don't Let Me Down Again, and Frozen Love would be my choices. And if they keep doing a solo song, then I would change that up and have Lindsey do Countdown and Stevie do something else other than Stand Back.

Specially in these days, where all media transmit us messages about loving money, business first, etc.. I'm not surprised.
Never understood this either. As if John, Chris, Lindsey, and Stevie tour for some greater artistic meaning. Please, this is their job...they do this because they make money doing it (same reason I work). They may love their job (making music), and be very good at it, but they do it to make money. Crapping on Mick for looking to make a buck is juvenile when it gets brought up. Who cares? If I was Mick Fleetwood I would be milking the Fleetwood Mac brand as much as I could to generate as much out of it while I still can enjoy it.

I think what annyos people is that Mick is so bad with money management. His bandmates have made him quite a lot over the years, and yet he is often in financial straits. There's no doubt they all WANT to make a lot of money, but after Rumours, it's a bit absurd that any band member would ever NEED money.

Now we have 6 months to guess the name of the tour. Unleashed was so stupid and antithetical to what and who they are. They should call this one Bound.

There's more discussion about the Fleetwood Mac tour on the "Stevie" forum that on the "Fleetwood Mac" forum. I suppose an argument can be made that the thread on Stevie's forum is more about Stevie's involvement and her fan's wishes for her to continue on solo - tour/album.

I agree with others as I too don't understand all this Mick Fleetwood hate. His contributions seem to always be dismissed since he isn't a singer/songwriter.

Mick just plays drums...

More like 20 year old. Lindsey's been playing THAT version since 1993.

I don't hate him, but I do think he's pretty dumb.

I love Mick and I think he's the glue that's held everything together all of this time. You know, they love him and that's why he can persuade them to do things to which they are opposed.

But he's kind of duplicitous and not above light stabs in the back.

I do not understand this EP thing. I think some young unestablished artists release EPs to pay for the next batch of studio time for the next EP and to build up fanbase. Example: Florrie has consitently been releasing the best pop music of the 2010s--20 songs! 3 EPs plus 8 other singles/free downloads. But what I don't get is... why not release those 20 friggin amazing songs in a double album or two albums? Anyway... what would be the point for the Mac... unless the EP were attached to a re-release of Rumours. ... or B/N?

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

Default Agreed

I'd really love to see new music first. But, can't really blame the band when so many fair weather fans at the concerts only react to the hits. You know how it goes....new song comes on, people file for the bathrooms.

I'm telling you it's going to be the release of the Buckingham Nicks cd with Fleetwood Mac supporting it with a tour.

Ah, seriously don't put that thought in my and everyone else's heads!!
That's what I'm praying happens..

Like what most people are saying, Lindsey and Stevie are arguably putting out some of their best and relevant work right now. And although a cash tour is an easy way out..which they've given into before..I can't see how they CAN'T do something EP or BN re release related. It wouldn't make sense!!!! But then again why have these guys ever made sense?!
