I think the show itself is fine as it is. If you were going to your 1st or 2nd LB show you'd be BLOWN AWAY.....but for us that are deeply invested in his career it's sad to think what could've been.
Seeds tour was the chance to do the standards...this could've been the show for the diehards. Imagine..... Stephanie Shut Us Down Bel Air Rain Walk a Thin Line I'll Tell You Now Cast Away Dreams Slow Dancing Rock Away Blind That's all for Everyone Gone Too Far Underground Soul Drifter Love Runs Deeper Red Rover Go Your Own Way Encore: Time Precious Time Down on Rodeo Last edited by ryan4136; 05-18-2012 at 06:05 PM.. |

Lindsey Buckingham Ready for the Northeast May 14th, 2012 Known as one-half of the voice, heart and soul of the world famous mega-supergroup, Fleetwood Mac; multi-talented guitarist-vocalist Lindsey Buckingham is a one-man show. He’s currently touring on his own on the West Coast and will come to the Northeast this June. His tour includes an appearance at Westchester County’s 126-year-old venue, Tarrytown Music Hall in Tarrytown, NY on June 9. He’s also scheduled for two dates at BB King Blues Club on June 4 and 5, and an encore performance at Ridgefield Playhouse in Ridgefield, CT on June 6. The tour began May 11 on the West Coast in Santa Cruz, CA and will wrap up on June 16 in Columbus, OH. Buckingham will perform his solo hits such as, ‘Go Insane,’ ‘Trouble’ and Fleetwood Mac classic hits such as, ‘Big Love,’ ‘The Chain’, ‘Tusk’ and newer material from his most recent album, ‘Seeds We Sow’ released last year. He said on his website that he’s constantly evolving as a solo artist and enjoys performing for his faithful fans. The East Coast fans will certainly welcome him with open arms as he makes his way here! It will be an unforgettable experience! The tour is a unique opportunity for fans on the East Coast to get a rare intimate ‘up-close and personal’ perspective of the man himself in select smaller venues. His concerts are a must-see for any casual or die-hard Fleetwood Mac fan! Buckingham’s songs and Fleetwood Mac’s music are timeless. The song, ‘Dreams’ has been covered by the Irish band, The Corrs. And the song, ‘Landslide’ was covered by The Dixie Chicks. Don’t miss your chance to see one of the most influential artists in the music industry today because the tickets are guaranteed to sell out! Just saw Lindsey at the Aladdin in Portland, Oregon. Great show. Was a real treat to hear Stephanie. I know it's just a simple little ditty, but it's so pretty. No DOR. Set was:
Castaway Dreams Bleed To Love Her Not Too Late Stephanie Come Shut Us Down Go Insane NGBA Big Love I'm So Afraid GYOW Encores: Trouble & Seeds We Sow. So/so crowd. No stage gathering which bothered me, but a lot of stand up, raving applause for him. Portland seemed VERY appreciative of LB. Cheers, ALK |

This is one song, and one section standing. Stage right (I think) hardly stood at all. Also any standerswere generally the front row, and were encouraged pretty damned quickly to sit down.

It's Oregon, where people are ultra-nice and courteous People were up from the beginning, but sat for the benefit of those behind them. Still, it looked, from my balcony viewpoint, that there were always fans up close...just not a hoard of them leaning against the stage. Also, security was kinda strict - nice, but strict, it seemed. Made me put my camera away ( in the balcony! ) almost as soon as I got it out BUT, they were definitely into the show, and loving Lindsey There were standing O's after probably half the songs. Very enthusiastic crowd! The place was packed, too. There were people lining the wall behind me, and in the balcony aisles too, that didn't have seats...so a bit over capacity. Really fun night
Also, with all this talk of Lindsey not changing things up much, I have to say, maybe for those of you that have seen him on every tour, you've heard it all, but I've only been to his SWS tour, before last night, and so I was treated to 5 songs I'd never had the pleasure of hearing live before And as for it not being completely acoustic, I really think Lindsey made the right decision ( he knows what he's doing ). The crowd went absolutely nuts when Stan walked out with the M1! Come and So Afraid, were mind-blowers. Come was really cool, and So Afraid, was...I can't even describe how un-real it was. Good freaking GOD. What can I say, it was an eargasm He played it very different than the way I'd heard it before. Yes, some of it was of course, the same - it's the same song! But, dang! That man brings it, and after hearing him again last night, I still say I'd pay good money just to watch him tune his guitar...he's THAT good. Anyways, the crowd just ate out of his hands last night, and he was feeding us well No disappointment here One more thing of note, in the continuing saga of Lindsey v. Venue Security ... Lindsey wasted no time after So Afraid ( after standing O ) launching right into GYOW. Just plowed through it...soooo cool how he played it too. BUT very early in the song - before the first chorus I think, he walked over to the very front of the stage, and I was thinking, WTF, he's going out there to let them strum?? But it's not even the solo?!! Whatup?? So, as he's strolling over, completely ditching the singing - LMAO - the crowd is singing along, and handily carries the chorus, as Lindsey walks up to a guy and just pops him on the top of the head - I laugh every time I think of it. I shouldn't...but I do. It wasn't violent, but more, kind of a wake-up sorta pop on the head. Just, "pop". Well, it was a security guard who was trying to escort David out after David ( he told me later ) got into it a little bit for asking him/them to get away from the stage. So, I guess Linds just went over and said "don't do that" and popped him. All was fine after that, though. There was a tweet later ( Elle posted it her ) last night from the venue, saying Lindsey peeked around the corner and thanked them all ( the staff ), so no harm, no foul, I guess And he got a standing O, of course!! ----------------------
