I had no idea that I Still Miss Someone wasn't intended for the album and that Stevie was surprised to see it on there. I really don't like the version on the album at all and so learning this leaves me with mixed feelings.

On the one hand I'm pleased to hear that Stevie knew how weak the song was and that it didn't fit the album so she didn't really want it on there or, or was at least surprised when it showed up on the record. She was still functioning enough to make good choices.

On the other, it's just so frustrating that when she saw the song had made the cut, she didn't care enough to throw a diva tantrum and insist that it be removed. I refuse to believe that at that stage in her career, with how long she'd been around, when it came to a decision regarding one song, and a cover verion that was highly unlikely to be a single anyway, she would not have had the final say. If she didn't like the song and she was bothered enough to protest then it wouldn't have been on the album.

She was zonked-out on Klonopin at the time. When you're on that, you just go with the flow.
