Well, yesterday was my first NoTS ever. A dear friend and I were invited by another dear friend, Travis (VJTre), and we had a really great time.

In perfect old lady fashion, I did something to my ankle a few days before so I was in a little pain until we sat down after the videos. At one point, I told myself to pretend I was at a Stevie concert and that helped quite a bit. Somehow, pain goes away then;-) And, speaking of videos...the selection and mixing of those Stevie videos made the first two hours of NoTS fly by. Amazing stuff. I wished there was more of it later during the "intermissions."

We stayed till after 1...so we did not see the Battle of the Stevies, etc. But, we did see the first two acts of entertainment. Some were fantastic, some were great fun. Some were an interesting interpretation of things. But, I enjoyed them all. And, you know, I came to the conclusion that Stevie must be one of the hardest people out there, to try and mimic. Loved the costumes. I didn't do that but did exaggerate the eye shadow. Hey, that's an attempt (of sorts!)

It actually was not what I was expecting at all. I'm not sure what I did expect but this was quick-paced Stevie-related goodness and the organizers should be proud.
So, thank you Travis. For the invitation and the great part you played in yesterday's activities!

Thank you Regina - it was great to have you there :-). So glad to read you had a good time. I did too. All of the performers were great - kudos to you all ... and of course thanks to all of the NOTS staff. I can't imagine not attending anymore. It is a must every year.
