It's all well good, but I'm sure giving her heart and soul (no pun intended) on stage to her fans every night is as much energy as she'd like to expend especially now that she's in her 60's. I don't know, I could be completely wrong, but it looks awful to me, all those fans wanting a piece of you. Ick.
Honestly, it isn't throngs of people at that point. It's usually, in my experience, up to 5 people. As the night wears on, people leave. It's the, as I like to call them, die hards, (not nuts) who remain. Or is it the Gypsies who remain.. It's not that many people! Yes, I agree about her age, she probably wants to go to her hotel. So, I would say to her, if you don't want to meet with us, do something else. Get involved with your fans more. As it stands right now, you just have to be really lucky, and that leaves out the rest of us.

I don't mind shaking hands. I never do the hug/kiss thing to a stranger. I let someone else initiate that if they want to. Either way, doesn't bother me. I would think the kiss/kiss/hug deal would only really be appropriate after you had met someone once before.

i don't like to seem to refute everything you say. you have a valid viewpoint. but, if she stopped to meet the 5 , the next night it would be 10, then 20, then 40.... word spreads. i think the point is, she CAN'T make herself available to ANYONE who waits after a show to meet her. word spreads. fans talk. how would you feel if she met 5 and left if you were the sixth in line? you'd be pissed. i think it's a blanket policy for both her and the fan's safety.
imagine a throng of 25-30 people (much less 50 or more) waiting for Stevie-time after the show. lots of people drink during the concert, it could get ugly fast.

guess there might be a solution to that: during his last tour, Lindsey would usually stop, sign stuff, or take pictures with people when there were just 5-10 fans waiting, but would get escorted to the bus when there were 40-50 people.

I agree with the drinking. I can see fights about who can meet Stevie with the fans who got rejected from her security.

I honestly never even thought about waiting around after the one concert I've been to last August. I was all shaky and tired and still crying. But it was my first Stevie concert, maybe my second one someday won't be like that. I do wish she would do SOMETHING with her fanbase. Chris sells Tshirts and stuff, and that's basically all he does for us fans.

I have a feeling that she leaves the venue pretty quickly to move on to the next destination on the tour. She probably gets out of there before many fans make it out of the theater.

I have heard there was a problem with Stevie's fan club from the 80's and the reason she don't have one is she left her brother Chris in charge of a fan club heard he doesn't want to start a fan club at all maybe it would be a big headache to take on for him, I remember Ginny Kamano telling me this in a letter a long time ago i used to write to her every so often she was very good on returning a response on stevie stationary too.

Probably no money for Chris to run a fan club .He make his money on making and selling tee's.I remember Ginny Kamano what happen to her.I got a memory block on that one.

Stevie took her time to getting out at the Boston show last year.Me and a couple other people walked over to right side of the pavillion outside the stage area. There was a line with about 10 people standing there.I just stand there to see what was up.I did not see any backstage passes on anybody in line .Unless they had them in their pockets.I was talking to fella with a Stevie top hat which went over there with me.we waited ,then one by one people got their turn to see her.Her security guy.I don't recall his name was talking to all of us.He was funny and playing with all of us with questions which he made up for us to play around. He was escorting fans back and forth .The line got about half way through. Her security guy came back out and said Stevie is very tired and can't see anymore fans tonight and thank all of us for hanging out.I said oh well.Got to respect her ,She's human like all of us.Plus her health too.

I agree. As for a fan club, they could do so much. I guess it all comes down to do they want to take the time.

Country music has fan fair in Nashville every year in June.I wonder whats with problem with the rock artists dont have a function like them. What are they stuckup or something .They just collect the money from their fans and run for the hills.

There's gold in them thar hills!

Most older rockers are living in the past.
They don't have a clue when it comes to
their fans, and how to treat them.

How hard would it be for Stevie to be a
little involved with an official website?
Maybe have someone post a note from
her once a month. They could even sell
Stevie Ms. Potato Heads and Stevie
Ducks
at this fantasy website. During
the Halloween season they could sell fake
Lindsey hands
to strangle people with.

Hahahaha.I agree.Time to wake up Stevie.Stevie and NicksFix should atlease have the venues put aside primo seats for their bigtime fans,That will take some of the bull out trying to find good seats on TM-LN or Stubhub.

Hum to come to the concussion we keep supporting her and other rock artists and get crapped on as a fan. At times I was thinking about throwing the towel in with the whole thing with her attitude with the fan treatment. But we still love her.
