only Glee connection i knew about was that Kristen and Lindsey Buckingham are on the board of some LA charity together with Ryan Murphy (http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/new...ow-adds-177461).

yup, Ryan Murphy said he gave LB a call and Lindsey thought it was a great idea since his kids were watching the show. and that Glee's people contacted SN's people.

after it was publicized that FM songwriters agreed to have a Glee episode based on Rumours music, SN showed up at one of the Glee rehearsals.

Yes, that is how I recall reading it. Ryan Murphy contacted Lindsey and both Kristen and LB knew Ryan from functions. LB's kids are huge fans and Linds agreed to it and Stevie of course.

What Jondular said about Stevie getting FM Glee is news to me.

I don't remember reading anything about LB's people calling Stevie's people. I just remember an interview where the reporter mentioned the idea to LB and he actually said he thought it was a great idea.

I can understand Jondalar only being familiar with Stevie's involvement because she was the one hoofing it in front of the cameras, doing all the leg work with the press. Lindsey simply gave his approval in an obscure interview (as I recall).

no, not LB's people. Glee's / Murphy's people. he didn't know SN so he had his people contact hers. he knew LB so he just gave him a call. at least that's what Ryan Murphy said about how it all came together.

Yeah, I didn't mean that about LB's people calling SN's. I just sort of put SN as an after-thought in there because I always thought Ryan Murphy contacted Lindsey. I heard that Ryan knew Linds and Kristen from functions. Anyways, however it happened...cool. I'm not a Glee person at all (though I will be watching on April 10th because the gorgeous and talented Matt Bomer will be guesting but he is the only reason I will ever be watching the show- unless members of my favorite bands start popping up on there as well of course!)
