I actually understood your point here. Some Stevie's lyrics make me cringe too. But, since we're voting for our favorite, i choosed what i personally like over what i objectively know is excellent.
I know Lindsey's the best (since he somehow manages to amaze and touch me at the same time), but Stevie just touches me more, and that's why i love her more. I get that you both appreciate objectively Lindsey's music, and also just love him, but you very cerebraly judge your second favorite...which is not bad, since Stevie's or Chris' music don't touch you thaaaat much. Anyway i get you but i wanted to underline the different points of view of what "favorite" might or might not be.
