Knowing that you're sad about it makes me sad!
Why are you selling? No room? No money?

Lots of reasons... the ol' its-just-takin-up-room-in-the-closet one comes to mind. And I-never-do-anything-with-it. Although the stuff packs up nice 'n tidy, so not like it's taking a LOT of room. Also thinkin about the big "what if" - My family isn't gonna do anything with it all but throw it when the time comes for them to "clean up" after me, so to speak. I'm not to the point of donating it all to a fan... not yet. I do want to try and recoup SOME of the $$ I've spent on it over the years. Tell ya what though, this has not been an easy process by any stretch. I've encountered nothing but problems during this whole thing and it's giving me the heebie jeebies. Problems with the camera, problems with my computer, problems sending emails. Maybe my "collection" doesn't want to be re-homed. Think Toy Story. LOL!

I agree .I understand the sadness to sell off Stevie/FM stuff. As I just experienced another loss in my family weeks ago. When my time come to the end.I dont want to see my collection get dumped into the rubbish dumpster.I should try Ebay on selling some of multiple copies of my collection and collect some cash.Good luck .And I will check what you have.

I guess it bears mentioning that I've vowed to use the proceeds of this sale to help fund my granddaughter's first trip to Disneyland. She's 16 this month and I'm ashamed to say she has never been to Disneyland... this coming from someone who went every weekend as I grew up 10 minutes away from the Magic Kingdom. We're spring cleaning around here and I've already added quite a bit to our Mickey bank by selling things that don't get used.

Thank you, I appreciate that. Very sorry for your loss. It's strange how that can make you feel like taking stock of your own life.

I have not been to Disneyland myself.I will be approching the big one next month. Its still not to late to go.But I rather go to Nashville and of course Pheonix and LA.I've checked your stuff out.Great package deals there.I remember I payed about $50 for the WH tourbook about 16 years ago.

Over the years I've amassed quite a nice little collection of Mac-related clothing too. So I just emailed Gotta Have It in New York. They used to be It's Only Rock and Roll -auction house. Anyway, they now have pictures and descriptions of all my stuff. We'll see what, if any of it, they'll want to take on consignment for their next auction. That whole experience was even worse than the Ebay auctions I put up this last weekend... I'm getting a big headache.

I know what you're saying... I can't even think about how much I paid for all this stuff, because I "bought high" as they would say on Wall Street, and now I'm selling low. I just don't think this stuff is going to be worth that much again. I think the Mac was riding the wave of The Dance during that time. A pal of mine suggested I hang on to the clothing. I told him forget about it, Stevie will probably out live me. Disneyland really is mostly for kids, but if you've never been to an amusement park, it is pretty cool as parks go. My fav was always Knott's Berry Farm. Well anyway, thanks... I tried to be thoughtful when I put the lots together and the pricing. I was surprised by how much postage is, even parcel post.

You both mentioned worrying/thinking about what will happen to your collections after you are gone. It would be nice if we could all set up some kind of Fleetwood Mac museum and have our families donate our collections.

"...and to 'The Museum of Where The Ultimate Fan's Collection of Rock and Roll Memorabilia Comes to Die', I leave my entire Fleetwood Mac collection and the sum of $1,000 to cover postage. Please mail parcel post to 45678 Tourbook Drive, Toledo Ohio."

not a half bad idea, actually. I'd imagine it would have to be a huge warehouse.
