I know that everybody here has a wide variety of music tastes, so I thought it would be interesting to create a thread that acted as a hub of upcoming music releases for which you are excited. It might provide tips shared fans didn't know or even introduce a fav artist to a newbie.
I have assembled a list of music releases for 2012. These are pretty much confirmed or semi-confirmed (beyond the rumour stage). I don't what you all think.....but a 77 year old Leonard Cohen delivered a wonderful album....absolutely wonderful. Also looking forward to Mika....I think he's a great artist...great pop tunes.

I'm pretty excited for a new Timbaland album. Even if his last one didn't have that many great songs.

I'm not into these new pop current tunes. But I will be looking for Sweethearts Of The Rodeo new cd Restless to be release soon. Also they said they will hit the road too.I'm glad to see the boss Bruce Springsteen will be having a new cd coming out.He probably will get the same treatment that Stevie and Lindsey with no or little radio airplay.probably the same will go for Leonard Cohen too.

Yes, I agree. I'm loving the Cohen. It's so moving. Does anyone know anything about music? What is that called in the last track--Different Sides--where the back-up singers kinda do that swirling whooo-oooo-whooooa thing? A run that turns into a slide? It's the damndest thing since those Tusk backing harmonies.

Oh this was my own personal list. I expected people to add such things in their lists/comments here, though perhaps I should maintain a master list of everybody's responses. I'm not personally excited for anything Madonna (though I'm intrigued by rumours of about a song on the album that is a supposed collab with the great new pop group The Sound of Arrows).

I'm not into Madonna but I will tune into the Superbowl Halftime show and watch her perform. She will get alot of promotion for her new cd on this show.I wish Stevie would get a kickoff "no pun intended" for her IYD cd on a show like this.

As for the Mika album, worth noting that he has cited Fleetwood Mac as an inspiration for this album's sound!
