I was about to post the exact same thing. I haven't seen footage of Carol-Ann and it would be interesting to see just how much she matches up to what my mind has turned her into, haha. Though for sheer convenience I'm hoping she fits exactly with my impression of her from her writing and personal accounts.

Remember, this video was done sometime in the 90's. So the 'before' CAH was looking like that back in the 90s, and she's still5 years younger than Lindsey. So...

She's still stuck on Stevie... same type of clothes (esp at the end)....and frankly, she's living in a meh dinky little apartment more suitable to some young person starting out...so much for all that "success" and being "rock royalty...

so she was in her late 40s? i'll comment on the look first - i think she was pretty before and after. i don't see that much of a difference frankly but it could be that i'm just blind or didn't pay enough attention.

re hearing her speak - well... let's just say that hearing some of the women that lindsey spent extensive amounts of time in his life speak, gives me hints that relatively high opinion i tend to have of his intelligence is probably not realistic.

Or maybe his tended to veer towards the, let's say...."less mentally endowed", women in the past? Not that I would group Stevie in that particular comment. Or maybe he just went for what he thought were weaker women, so he could feel like the dominant force in the relationship? I'm sure I've seen Stevie talk about this in the past.

yeah those are the parts i didn't want to say

...going for looks first - and almost exclusively? (still, he had to listen to them talk from time to time!).

you might be at least partly right about the second part too - that he tended to go for women who were in perceived or real need of some kind of "rescuing" - usually from some bad relationship or other stuff that happen to them in the past - CAH, Heche, Kristen would all fit in that second category by either his or their own description.

i will be nice since these are FM and SN boards too. i will say that SN was not looks only definitely.

Lol. I guess sometimes I'm a little less diplomatic than others when it comes to what's on my mind. C-A brings it out in me. I just get nothing but conceitedness, bluster and hubris from her. I have very little time for such arrogant individuals who have very little by the way of forgiving features. probably harsh on my part, but her one forgiving feature for me is probably that she didn't milk the Lindsey Buckingham relationship of her past for all it was work. She had the opportunity, and her book did try, but for the most part she didn't take it as far as it could have gone. The so called "violence" in their relationship could have easily accounted for more than just a few lines in a sub-par book, for example.

Could you illuminate me about the Kristen thing? Only I heard -in his recent video on his website- him mention something about them being there to fix the other, or something in that vain, and it baffled me. I'm not sure what could have been meant by it :s

Oh, I definitely agree. Thus my reluctance to group her in with my comment. She has a wise soul, Mama, even if it's not always utilized to her advantage. If her poor judgement in past relationships is anything to go by, at least.

i don't really know anything more than what he stated in the past - that when they first met they were both in bad relationships they were trying to get out of. that's why i always felt that RPTF / TOF lyrics are about Kristen and the time they first met and got together. and like you said, if IOOT and TTWLG are really about kristen, there might be a lot more going on there, even after 15 or so years of them being together.

but i'm probably way overinterpreting.
