Personally, I rather think he's been clueless thus far - otherwise I don't think he would have put his Size 9's in it!

I am repeating myself over and over but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE - anyone who knows Lindsey and is reading all these recent threads, make sure he's fully aware!

So I am asking everyone to vote in their view on this.
Was Lindsey right, was the "GAP" to far???? Should he tour the UK in JUNE.

Lindsey made absolutely no reason as to why he couldnt tour in June.
This poll is only going one way.

It is the official petition for a Summer UK & Ireland tour.
i voted yes - meaning yes he should do UK/EU tour in June (of course!). but Madness, in your distress, you asked the question both ways (so yes would in actuality mean that we agree to both things in your proposition).

one other thing - the same as we are selfishly thinking of ourselves and saying gap is not too big for us, i think what lindsey probably meant is that gap was too big for him and the band. i'm assuming and hoping there was more to it than just "oh it was too big of a gap" and that either band members and/or lindsey had pre-existing obligations for june and that's why it was unacceptable - of course, if that was the case he could have just said "we had obligations that we couldn't get out of" instead of a cavalier way he worded it.

btw, if he did tour UK or anywhere in EU in the second half of june, and he set it up the way he did for December (w/ soundchecks and meet&greets), i'd seriously consider flying over for that!

You'd better - will hold you to that!

I intended to do that with all my heart. LB why you no schedule to June? Well, you all know I sincerely sympathize and agree with you all on this matter. I like that you are expressing yourselves. Much better than bottling in! And, in my opinion, you've all been utterly classy regarding the matter.

Really, it's pitiful his lack of social networking skills. At the very least, he should have people close to him checking things out. It'd be nice if he was more open to communicating with his fans via the net, but it isn't necessary. Just at the very least go on your freaking website from time to time and update it accordingly.

I can only imagine his computer skills.

It distresses me to suggest this but is it just apathy? A "couldn't really care less" attitude?

Just feels this way, is all.

Wish there were more LB Ledgie fans on here - it's looking a bit pathetic even though it is 100% in favour of UK Tour!

Just a suggestion but...why don't you start a facebook page? Bring it, Buckingham, or some such thing.
It might possibly give you more exposure to UK fans not on here, and you can write some of your feelings (nicely) about the cancellation and your hopes to have him back...even in June! (June in the UK is lovely, as I recall). And, that link could easily be passed on to his management, at the very least.
Social media! The wave of the future!

We have some of his associates as friends on Facebook already.

Default The Boss - Woohoo!!!!!!

Me and Bee have tickets to see Brucie Baby in June!

Does this mend our broken hearts? Like hell it does!

Does it help ease the pain a little? You bet your peachy backsides it does!

Don't know why I'm posting it on this thread - blame the overexcitement!

i think it probably just that it isn't his thing. we were talking in the live mixing thread and USC thread how much attention lindsey pays to his live sound and how much input he has into the mixing, and how some artists just leave that part to the professionals in charge of the mixing and hope for the best.

i assume that's what lindsey does with the web stuff. he / his firm or managers hire some people and hope for the best. which seems to be turning up pretty crappy in terms of updates. and disconnected - different entities hired to do various parts of web design and updates for his web site do not seem to be able or allowed to talk to each other (therefore that stupid "posted by user" stuff, no timely updates, etc).

there are some artists that are either lindsey's age or much older that seem to be able to continually update their web sites, tweet etc. John Fogerty comes to mind. and Willie Nelson. they don't necessarily do it themselves. i'm pretty sure Willie has one of his kids running the updates on his web site as well as tweeting for him. seems to be working nicely, and Willie is 78!
