Question is......who would produce it?
A new album would be great but I put my money on a new FM cd by the end of the year. The question is. Who will produce that?

She probably write some beautiful songs about mom and dad and hopefully gives her a hit tune maybe on the country charts.Get Dave to produce it .Plus as mention from us.To get back at it with the boys of Fleetwood Mac and have Dave at the controls too.It will take time.As of this February. It will be 3 years since I lost my mom at age 77.I just keep my head up and keep on moving.

Exactly. SYW took them 18 months to record. Tango, Mirage, Tusk, and Rumours all took 12 months. Even if Fleetwood Mac started recording tomorrow (which isn't going to happen), we wouldn't see an album any earlier than the summer of 2013. It doesn't even sound like they can all get on the same page to even make a new album, so my opinion is there is absolutely zero chance of a new Mac album this year. It's not looking so great for next year, either.

Don't be such a downer! They could have an album already recorded and we just don't know! It doesn't matter what's likely and what isn't, anything could happen with Fleetwood Mac!!!

I hate negativity, but have to face the reality:

If they can't even get it together to release something that has already recorded (Buckingham Nicks), we can't expect them to be expeditious in doing anything else. But I do hope for another Fleetwood Mac album. As much as I love their solo work, I consider Fleetwood Mac as their home base.

I would love for this to be the case! But I think it'd be very hard for Fleetwood Mac to secretly record an album. With all the social networking sites these days, someone somewhere would post something about all four of them being in the studio. Not to mention both Stevie and Lindsey have been touring, so the only time they could have really done much of anything would be back in July. They could of course regroup this month and crank out an album in less than ten months, but FM really doesn't have a track record for doing so and all these other factors come into play:

- Stevie herself said there would be nothing of Fleetwood Mac in 2012.
- Stevie just lost her mother.
- Stevie still hasn't released her documentary.
- For some reason November and December seem to never be months chosen to release new music, therefore they would probably want to release the album before then or hold it until spring 2013.
- It is also an election year, which we know Stevie held her Soundstage Sessions DVD until March 2009 because they didn't feel it would get much notice amongst all the election chaos. Therefore, instead of getting it out before November, record execs would probably want to hold anything of theirs until 2013 if it wasn't ready for release by July.

I'm not saying it isn't possible, we just really don't have that much of a chance of it happening. The way I see it, we will be lucky if we even see anything out next year. I do believe they will release more music, I just don't see them getting in any hurry. I dare them to prove me wrong tho!

I agree with all of this....I said in an earlier post "at the end of this year" I should have said...early Spring 2013....followed by a summer tour...I just don't believe Stevie will record another solo project...after the passing of her sweet mom, she will run for the protection of the FM boys...

They couldn't even re-release Rumours (again)!

FWIW...and, consider the source:

Singer Stevie Nicks is reportedly recording a new solo album as a tribute to her late mother.

Barbara Nicks died in Arizona at the age of 84, with her famous daughter by her side, on 28 December (11).

The Fleetwood Mac star later spoke out about the devastating loss, admitting, "She supported me and all of my dreams. She was the one that made it all possible."

And now the Landslide singer is set to remember her mum by composing a record in her honour, according to the National Enquirer.

A source says, "Stevie always finds something positive in the worst situations, and no one's surprised at her decision to write a tribute album to her mum.

"While sitting at Barbara's bedside, she recalled the tremendous influence her mother had on her life... Stevie has been writing constantly and wants to have the tribute album out by summer."

Wouldn't it be cool if Jimmy Iovine came back to work with her.... And maybe even more of her old band mates..........who knows...maybe she can bring Bobbie Hall back, I kind of miss her....

My mom will be gone one year in March. I was at her bedside too, holding her hand, when she passed. I also write. Haven't been able to write much since then, but I have other complications of the world swirling around that Stevie doesn't.

Stevie is a strong person. But mom...a mom that you love and who supported you is a loss that's so hard to get through. You go through your days not realizing just how great it was to know that mom was 'there'. Even if you didn't talk every day. Every holiday is like there's a hole in the room where mom should be. That rock in your life is gone.

I hope Stevie takes whatever time or healthy path that she needs to take to get through this. I hope she has loving shoulders to lean on when it's really bad and a good friend to talk with. I got counseling. Just to talk about mom and what I missed. And it's good to say, "I love you, mom." outloud. It just feels good and I know she hears me.

God be with Stevie and family through all of this to comfort and strengthen.
