General Tso's chicken. I think I finally made something that's too hot for me to eat! I'm drenched....I'm now picking the whole red peppers out of it!

But still, it hurts so good!

Beef stew, minus the beef. So, I guess vegetable soup....

To be honest, I missed the meat!

OMFG! What a find!!!
So I was in Kroger's about an hour ago...and tightass that I am, was looking at the "clearance shelf". They had these big soup mixes(dry, in pouches). Well, the Baked Burgundy French Onion looked really good, so I bought 3 bags of it.

Well, I just finished making a batch, and OMFG, it's DELICIOUS!!!! Seriously as good(if not better) than any I've ever had in a restaurant. I'm going to stop in there again, later tonight, and if there's any left, I'M GOING TO BUY ALLLLLLL OF IT!!! So freaking good, and only 60 calories a serving!!!!!

Me too. People have made fun of the fact that I stay in pretty cheap hotel, when I vacation. Know what? I had seven separate full weeks ON vacation, last year. There's no way I could have afforded that, if I weren't cheap!

Did I tell you about the $1 Happy Hour PBRs, in Nashvegas?

You've never had a Pabst Blue Ribbon?????????

In Nashville, literally about 60% of the patrons are drinking PBR(not only the Happy Hour ones).

Ahh, I have. I just hadn't seen it shortened to PBT. It's ok. I'm not the biggest lager man though, more beer really. Sometimes I do fancy lager though and I'll never turn one down

I miss having a Kroger. If you think they're high, you should shop a Publix.

We were having a discussion one day about the difference in food prices across the U.S. where people were from and had moved, and people on the Florida forum were pulling up old news articles showing how things like a gallon of milk and meat and dairy have always been high down here, even back in the 80's. I don't know what prices things are where you're from, but on any given week a gallon of milk at Kroger was 2.50 and down here milk is almost 4.00. And meats and dairy all run high. But it's Florida so you can't bich that much.

We don't have Publix up here. Only Kroger, and a chain out of northern Indiana, called Marsh.
Kroger's has pretty much killed Marsh, with several of their stores closing over the past few years.

I'm a Kroger boy. Always will be.

I'm heading out to meet some friends now, but FIRST, I'm gonna hit Kroger, and if they have any more of that French onion soup, I'm buyin' it all!
