I've been working on a sketchbook for him. Work I've done in the past and paintings/drawings etc I've done especially for the book. Was really excited to give it to him.

Beautiful idea, and I know he'd appreciate the time and love that goes into something like that. Fingers crossed you get your chance and all this will be a distant memory.

Default Art Coursework, help!?

Okay, I've left my Art coursework really late, it's due in on the 7th and I haven't finished the actual book.
My teacher said to put in up to 45hrs work, but the problem is I don't have lots of little pieces to put in, I have three big ole biro pieces and two smaller sketches.
I also seem to have lost all ability to draw.
So if anyone has done an Art GCSE would they be able to give me a few pointers as to what I should include in my book, I would be forever in their debt?
Ta Ledgies.

I submitted 8 sheets for my GCSE and got an A*so first off, DON'T PANIC!!

If it were me, I'd construct 5 pages from the 5 pieces you have already by tearing them up (everyone screams. I always tear my art up) and making feature pages. Say eyes, noses and mouths (perhaps you could even stretch to ears, too) and make collages out of the separate pieces. I hope this is making sense. So gather all 6 biro eyes and arange them on one page then decorate. Do the same with the noses and mouths. Then with the other two, make those into pages, too. Just decorate with different paints/pens etc.

Okay, that makes me feel better about the lack of quantity I have!

Oh no! I couldn't ever rip up my work
My sculpture is my final piece and that is nearly done so I don't have to worry too much about getting the physical part of it done as that is sorted.

Because I'm not one of those people who gets an idea and develops it this is very difficult for me, I just get ideas, draw them and TA DA! I don't develop anything, and it works out fine anyway, why oh why did I take Art?!

Thanks for all your help everyone! x

I have to keep telling myself this is GCSE level, because being a Uni student I know we would NEVER get away with anything like that, haha. I think the main point is to just keep drawing. Five minutes, a minute even per sketch. It's just a quick way of getting a lot of work. It doesn't matter if you end up producing crap. Because you're producing. You have pieces that can be jumping off points to other things.
