Stevie Nicks Eyes Fashion Exhibition

Singer Stevie Nicks wants to organize a special exhibition of her iconic stage costumes after keeping "every single" outfit she's worn through the years.

Nicks has carefully preserved the clothes and accessories she's worn since finding fame with Fleetwood Mac, and she'd love to share her wardrobe with fans.

She explains, "I have every single thing I have ever worn since the very first outfit that my designer Margie Kent made for me. When you make stuff out of silk chiffon it never, ever gets wrecked.

"I would love to do something like that (an exhibition), because my stuff is an important part of fashion. I've seen my influence in fashion collections for the last 30 years. It would be really wonderful to have it all up in one big room. It would be amazing."

So, we can probably expect the exhibition to open the same time as the Rhiannon movie. Great cross-promotional opportunity.

I don't agree that silk and chiffon never get wrecked. My silk stains more easily than any other clothes I have and, although I have far less chiffon than silk, my chiffon tends to tear and snag.

These materials may offer many fine qualities, but durability is not one of them.

Except when you spill wine on it or burn it with a cigarette.

I agree. It helps to have a wardrobe assistant that takes flawless care of all your clothees though.

I'm sure she's taken great care of her clothes and stored and preserved them to have lasted all these years and us fans are as grateful. I think she was very aware 30 years ago just how iconic she and her look would be.

This is the same woman who throws her shawls on the stage floor during concerts LOL

And does anyone remember when she had to make her new GDW shawl she wears now because her old one was getting worn out?

The last time I can think of is when she did her Superbowl Pre-Show performance she threw her GDW shawl on the floor.

Good thing she won't be exhibiting her tambourines that she's thrown across the stage in the 80's

Regardless...would be an interesting exhibit.

When she was having tax issues, didn't she say in an interview like maybe A HUNDRED times (lol) that she needed multiple outfits cause hers get damaged from lighting and make up and etc. ?! Not that I wouldn't love to see an exhibit, but seems that saying she has every single piece from whenever wouldn't make the IRS very happy.

... we all know Mama don't sweat, so that's not an issue...
her outfits are always immaculate though
which makes me wonder if she doesn't have at least 2000 versions of the same black jacket/black skirt combo she's currently wearing
my regular make up barely comes off my clothes, stage make up has got to be way harder to wash out of purdy stage outfits

I would think she has multiples made of the same clothes especially going out on tour in case something was to get damaged. Which is why it hasn't saddened me that some of the beautiful clothes like the outfits around Tango tour that went to auction most likely weren't completely given up. I truly believe her when she says she's kept most things. It wouldn't break my heart if she agreed to exhibit her clothes and boots and items someday as long as she was looking over it and getting them back. What would sadden me is if she ever decided to sell them like some stars do. As a fan of both her and her fashion, it would break my heart seeing that.
