Does anybody else find themselves looking over Christmas Cards they'd thought important enough to save from Christmas's gone by, seen the signed names and thought "Who the hell are you?" ? I found a pile of them today when I dug out my Decorations and was overcome with amnesia.

My "job" is a nightmare and my phone decided today that functioning wasn't something it was interested in. JTIS.

(Good news re: phone, the 6 really pathetic 30 second video clips and multiple awful photos from FM @ MSG are on a memory card, so I keep them even if the phone gets chucked and replaced.)

Geez, don't tell me that I gave up a special dinner with my family tonight, and rearranged my entire day, so that we could have our special date night, and you didn't just call and cancel....

FML!

Am I the only one that does what I say I'm going to do, 99% of the time?

FML.

So tomorrow is my last day in my current position at work. I recently received a promotion and am transferring to a different department on Monday. While I look forward to the challenge of the new position, working with new people, and of course the added money will be lovely- I have terribly mixed feelings nonetheless. I've never worked with a more positive, fun, supportive group of people in my entire life. Part of me feels horrible for abandoning the best work environment I've ever experienced, part of me knows it's time to move onwards and upwards.

Congratulations, Louie!!!

I know, I'm the same way...I don't think I've ever left a job, without crying.

But onward and upward, young man!

Louie...wonderful. I am really proud of anyone that takes the challenge to expand your base of friends, knowledge, intelligence...I admire the fact that you are taking a leap of faith with such reflective wisdom regarding change.

There is a song I hope you dance. Its cheesy and country but the words are powerful.

I hope you still feel small when you stand before the ocean...whenever one door closes...one more opens. Living might be taking chances but they're worth taking...

You know, a long poem about life and love...and never looking back with regret and facing challenges that can be scary...

Good luck.
Jim

I need to get out of this mood because it's not helping me. But I'm just so bloody heartbroken at the moment, after all of the time and effort I put into my gift for him. I don't even care about the financial loss. I just wanted this trip to happen so badly. I don't know if my life will allow for it next year.

Is it okay for me to ask what you've made for him? I've seen your art and I know it's beautiful ... Just so much disappointment tonight, feels like a bad dream.
