Top Ten Favorite Lindsey Buckingham SOLO Songs - Page 3

lbfan · #31 10-28-2011, 01:15 PM

Although I was tempted to just list all OOTC songs, my list of top ten (in chronolgical order by official release):
Trouble
Don't Look Down
Countdown
Soul Drifter
You Do or You Don't
Under The Skin
Someone's Gotta Change Your Mind
Underground
Stars Are Crazy
Gone Too Far

I agree that the Say You Will tracks are really solo efforts. If those were eligible, I probably would have included Bleed To Love Her (dropping Gone Too Far or Underground).

Really, almost all his songs are divine - there are literally only one or two that I'm not keen on!

I have 20 also. Hard to whittle it down. Maybe it should have been Top 20 lists anyway.

yeah 20 would work much better. i can separate 20 most favorite LB solo songs from the others, i really couldn't 10... that's why i had to add honorable mentions

now if you are doing lindsey all together (not just solo), 50 might work.

Nico · #36 10-28-2011, 10:58 PM

Elle, I would not be adverse to 50.

Yes, that would be more like it! As I said earlier, I think we should maybe do a list of our LEAST fave LB songs!

You should make a thread for that if you feel so strongly,

!I feel so mean making least favourite lists. I add songs to the list, and then I suddenly realise I kind of like them and have to remove them again. I'm not good at being negative unless I hate the artist in general.

I didn't realize that. It's nice to know

My ever-evolving top ten are heavy on SWS and GOS, and I agree that this was way too hard to keep it to so few songs

In no particular order:

Rock Away Blind
That's the Way That Love Goes
Gift of Screws
Bel Air Rain
Wait For You
The Right Place to Fade
Go Insane
Loving Cup
Shut Us Down ( prefer live )
Flying Down Juniper
Down On Rodeo ( prefer live )
-------------

Finally did my list. Surprised by some of those missing (e.g., Shadow of the West, I Must Go, Love Runs Deeper, Bel Air Rain, Did You Miss Me, To Try for the Sun, and End of Time did not quite make the cut), but my #10 is just so moving to me (and my controversial #9 I would propose is Lindsey's most audacious vocal since the Tusk album--the beauty of the guitar goes without saying).

Ten Favourite Lindsey Buckingham SOLO Songs

Sleepless-Child · #45 03-29-2012, 12:29 PM

Well, from what i've heard (this means no Law & Order or Go insane, except for the hits) :

1. Bel Air Rain
2. Countdown
3. Time Bomb Town
4. Rock Away Blind
5. Did You Miss Me
6. Trouble (live)
7. Treason
8. Turn It On
9. Stars Are Crazy (live)
10. Seeds we sow

BUT, that last one, might as well be LOVE RUNS DEEPER, In our own time or Holiday road...or Wait for you...i'll probably come back to this later.
