I thought it would be kind of neat to do an unpopular opinion challenge I wanna see if any of our unpopular opinions aren't so unpopular.

Baseball, too boring. Absolutely hate playing soccer.

Really love watching and playing volleyball. Love watching Hockey.

I used to Dance for a church youth group and got made fun of for it.. we did Easter plays. It wasn't cool cause it was 'religious' and 'weird bible music.' But it was actually really uplifting.

Math, Biology labs, Art class. (Art class cause it was the stupidest art class ever but everyone loved it... it was too structured. And it seamed like EVERYONE was better at math and Biology than I.... I liked History.)

Laundry

Any type of reality show (Survivor, etc)... Any of the shows that have made popular people like the Kardashians, etc. CSI, Criminal Minds, and shows like Bones also make me feel dumber for having watched them.

Bjork, John Mayer, Nirvana, Christina Aguilera (her voice literally makes me irritable), Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga, Adele (gasp!), Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen. I know it's cool to like some of these artists, but it's just not in me.

Pretty much all of them... I don't have time to worry about the over-privileged and their "suffering"

4. A hobby you “don’t get”.
I've seen people collect weird stuff like beer cans or liquor bottles. It just seems semi-strange to me to collect something that doesn't retain value (like comics for example). As far as hobbies go... I guess I can't think of anything particularly disturbing to me. We're all different... we like what we like to do eh?

5. A habit you find disgusting.
Smoking, teeth sucking (like when people get food stuck in their teeth)

Vacuuming I guess?

All of them. I don't give two hoots about sports. I had a conversation with some guys about sports and offended a co-worker so bad that he wouldnt speak to me after that... I jokingly said sports were the lowest form of human entertainment. The guy lost it and of course I stuck my foot further in my mouth.

11. A sport you really like, for whatever reason.
I enjoy watching rugby and soccer, as long as i'm physically at the game. The environment of a live crowd is fun... but I'm not focused on understanding the rules or actually following what's happening.

12. Television programs you love but have gotten **** for liking.
Maybe "The L Word"? I saw the first two seasons of that and was intrigued. Haven't followed it since.

13. Musical artists you love but have gotten **** for liking.
fleetwood mac, u2, queen, stevie nicks, bryan adams

14. A hobby you have/find interesting that other people bother you over/make fun of.
Among other things, I collect Smurfs. That always gets people laughing, or giving me the crook eye.

I bite the fingernails on my left hand. I know it's gross but I can't seem to tame it.

Gym... though I wasn't overweight or a chubby kid. I was just disinterested. I was always the guy going "It's JUST a game" which only served to piss off the jocks further.

Dishes

I can't think of any really "terrible" video games that I like. I still like the classics like Tetris and Pac-Man. Mario Kart and any of the Zelda games are also enjoyablez

I'm really let down and discouraged by going to a job interview and then not hearing back from people in a timely manner. You know, if you interview me... it means somewhere, somehow, was something that piqued your interest. I'm an adult and I can handle an explanation as to why you aren't hiring me, or that you gave the job to someone else. But when I'm ignored, and then I'm the one that has to call you for a follow up? Hmpf. It's discouraging for me and unprofessional on their part.

Well, when I was a teenager, for a short time anyway, I was obsessed with Dustin Hoffman. I have no idea why. And I seem to have a habit of falling for gay celebrities (Rupert Everett *swoon*, Bob Harper, Kian Douglas ala Queer Eye). Also, despite being as straight as a ruler, I absolutely adore Sarah McLachlan O_o

My 9 year old son is driving me crazy. He is not doing so great at school right now. This isn't because he can't do better. He just has his mind on everything else. He rushes through his work. I can't get him to understand that he has to do well now so he will know enough to do well in 5th grade!

1. CSI-I hate it. Don't know why there are so many people who love this TV series.
2. Nirvana (one great song and rest is forgettable)
Metallica (they might be metal heroes to some, but I've never cared about their music)

In college and graduate school, I usually got really into class discussions. I had to tone it down in the last 15 minutes of class though, or my classmates would get mad at me!

I really enjoy organizing things; closets, cabinets, etc. I also love to rearrange furniture, which drives everyone nuts.

Human society. The whole premise of our existance is messed up. We, as a species, especially in America, place more value in work and money than any other aspect of life. It's sad and sort of sick. Some day our Sun is going to run out of hydrogen and burn our world up to a cinder, and everything we've built, dreamed, written and produced will become stardust. With that in mind, why do we live our lives in misery, obsessed over money when there is more than enough for the whole world to live comfortably in happiness? Don't think about this for too long - it only leads to depression and malcontent.

MOST Reality Shows...especially the "Pawn Stars", "Storage Wars", etc, types...and any show that features someone with the last name Kardashian or Lohan or goombahs from NJ. Toss "Survivor" & "Amazing Race" in there...all those stupid singing shows..."American Idol", "X-Factor", "America Thinks They Have Talent", etc, etc.

Most hip-hop/rap artists. Just don't get the whole ghetto thing. I could go the rest of my life without a Streisand or Diamond or Manilow or Celine Dion types. Not particularly fond of the typical Las Vegas headliner (Wayne Newton & his ilk). Nor am I anywhere near being into Broadway play type tunes. Nor do I like the "screamer" type female singers...Aguilera, Mariah Carey, etc. Nor do I care for anyone who has won on any of those "American Idol" or clone type shows.

Not so much that I don't like it, I just am totally confused by it and will probably not live long enough to ever understand it, but: Cricket. The wicket & ball game, not the type of darts game...that I'm in full understanding of.

When they're not being greedy bastards & have labor issues, Pro Basketball. (specifically, the LA Lakers)
Loved baseball growing up (didn't matter what teams were playing, pro, college, major league, minor league, I could watch all nine innings & still want more), but all the hoo-ha over steroids & growth hormones kind of soured me on it. Plus, there are too many teams...the talent pool is dreadfully diluted. When I was a kid, there were only 8 teams in each league and each team had at least two, sometimes three, superstars per team...even the habitual cellar-dwellers.
Love American football...pro or college...even the good ol' Canadian league.
And, I'm just fascinated by Australian Football.
I get into soccer when either the World Cup or the Olympics come around, but even though we have two MLS teams in town, I pretty much ignore them.

Don't really have the hobby anymore since I don't really have a permanent residence, but I used to love this baseball card game I had called "Strat-O-Matic Baseball". I had that from the time I was 8 years old until I finally tossed it when downsizing during my last relocation. (rats & mice had gotten into the box of cards & pretty much shredded them all to make nests. I shed more than a couple of tears when that box went into the trash can...I put out a Jihad on all rodents after that...wild ones, Victoria; not the domesticated ones)


15. A habit you have that other people bug you over.

Chewing on my tongue. Biting hangnails on my fingers. Neurotically playing with my moustache with my tongue. SNORING!

Not shaving every day...when I don't have a beard, I'll let the whiskers grow for two or three days until I finally shave. And, when I DO have a beard, not keeping it neatly trimmed on a daily basis.

Ok, now THIS I remember from school because it scarred me for life.
Not "gym" as a whole, but gymnastics in particular...there was always that dreaded two or three weeks every school year when we'd have gymnastics. I couldn't climb the rope, but the coach would always badger us two or three porky guys to keep trying until we had rope burns on the inside of our thighs & palms of our hands (which being a fledgling guitarist at the time annoyed the hell out of me), I couldn't do the high-bar spin things, I nearly maimed & killed myself a couple of times doing a dismount off the parallel bars. And, The Rings. Omigod, HATED them. Like it was EXPECTED that we all had to do an "iron cross" or a "hand stand". Hell I've seen Gold-medal caliber Olympians who had trouble doing those!! Some chubby kid who was better suited to play middle linebacker just is NOT going to be good at gymnastics, no matter how many decibels the coach yells. Just hated gymnastics.

Washing windows; cleaning toilets.

Would "do-it-yourself" auto maintenance fall into this category? I hate changing the oil in my car myself. With all the environmental rules, I just start storing the old motor oil until I'm nearly a candidate for that show "Hoarders". I just pretty much overall hate doing my own car maintenance...putting in gas & using a squeegee on my windshield & windows is about as far as I like to go. Don't even like to WASH my own car...I'd rather go to the neighborhood car wash and tip heavily.

The old, old school ones...the original chip version of "Pac-Man" or "Centipede". "Space Invaders" I got pretty good at, too. (That song on the first Pretenders album was my personal theme song for a year or two)

People who call the USA a "Christian country"...no, no, and NO! It's a country of religious freedom, yes, even those who are Islams/Muslims or even Atheists! I'm so sick of these politicians freely crossing the line of "separation of church & state". I'm tired of the hypocrisy of religious leaders, hypocrisy of politicians, hypocrisy of co-workers & friends...and work hard to not to fall victim of my own hypocrisies when they arise.

There's no wonder I tend to like animals more than humans.
