Smoked salmon with creamy dill sauce, fried green tomatoes, and a spinach salad with blue cheese and raspberry walnut vinaigrette dressing.

I had smoked salmon too! Well, someone at work shared theirs with me when I expressed my love for it. Seasoned smoked salmon on Ritz crackers♥ F****ng AMAZING.

I just polished off a plate of spinach and something or other cannelloni. It was lush, thanks Waitrose

Now that sounds yummy - apart from the celery.

I am severely allergic to raw celery - even though I am OK with it once cooked I am still wary of it!

That's funny that you'd say that.
Because I always HATED celery, growing up. School would always serve it, with that damned peanut butter(which I love) crammed up it's crack.
Never appealed to me.

It wasn't until I started going to wing places with my friends, that I finally tried it. It's okay, I guess. I do now like it cooked in stews, and the like. But with hot wings, is the only way I ever eat it raw, still.

So what happens when you eat it raw? You swell up? Throat?

Okay, so it's not dinner because it's 10:20 in the morning but I just had THE nicest hot chocolate, it was a Whittard of Chelsea Ginger Sloth hot chocolate. Mmmm
I don't usually like ginger but this was lush and so is their mint one.

Also, HomerMcvie, I decided that one day I'm going to go to your house and you're going to cook me all this fabulous food you keep describing, I'm too jealous!

It does feel like my throat is restricting but the worst effect is a really intense itching sensation - imagine having the worst itch possible and not being able to ease it because you can't get at it, being right down inside the back of your throat!!!

I get exactly the same thing with raw carrot.

It must be some sort of substance within these vegetables that disappears once they are cooked - they only need be cooked for a short while and then I am OK to eat them!

Weird allergy or what!!!

You're going to have to get in the queue after me!

Me and David are food twins - the hotter/spicier, the better! And we're both blue cheese freaks!!!

Come on down!!! I'd love to cook for us!

We are food twins. Although I've had a tad of heartburn lately, so I've been easing up a little bit. Okay, I love salsa, and pretty much eat it daily(usually snack on it, while I'm cooking dinner). Well, my jalapeno plants did really well this year, and they're starting to go to waste, so I was doubling the amount I was putting in my salsa. So, getting violent hiccups from it might be going too far??? So I've been toning back "the constant contest" I have, for testing my ability to eat extreme heat.

As soon as the heartburn subsides though, it's back on, baby!!!

Honestly, the SPICES are the reason that Chinese and Mexican are my two favorite foods. I want to walk away from the table, in a sweat!

That is weird. I really don't understand. I'm built like a tank. I'm not allergic to anything. I go to the doctor every 5 years, whether I need to or not!
(I'm very lucky, and appreciate the fact that I am, very much so)

I wonder what it is about them, that causes such a reaction?
