I'll just say that there were no pre-recorded parts.

Arrow No way

Nope, they are definitely not making all the sounds at the concert. Brett's keyboard work does A LOT of fill-ins. Heh.

Glad you got to catch a show and that you enjoyed it, Chili.

Looking forward to seeing him again in Napa in a week. It will be my last show unless he adds more dates next year and comes to Dallas/Fort Worth.

Thanks!

Yeah, yeah, keep twisting my arm...of course, the "jungle noises" on "Tusk" are pre-recorded, but all the INSTRUMENTS are played live. (or so I was told by one of the sound guys) But, HOW they are, I'm sworn to secrecy.

First guess: ChiliD.....were you moonlighting....? Playing a little bass on the side?

My second guess is that poor little guitar tech who got his ass chewed out when the Turner quit getting its electrical juice (UTS Tour?) is like a hamster in a cage backstage...making all that instrument playing appear live...

First guess answer...uh, no. Only because nobody asked me.

Second guess answer: Getting warmer. I can say no more.

So, it's the guitar tech and some others too? Like Mick's back up drummer guy?

Doesn't surprise me. I've heard they use 'extra' musicians in FM too. Besides, I've always thought Lindsey's solo shows sounded too "full" to be just them -- the way his stuff is layered, it's just not possible.

Anaheim fans came to party last night. DavidMN and I led the stage rush early on from our FRONT ROW seats and from them on it was CRAZY! Lindsey loved it. No one sat down for the rest of the night and we were ten deep at the stage. AMAZING! DavidMn said it was the craziest show since Chicago! We got sweated-over twice, a big Hi from Brett and David even got a shout out from Lindsey as he did his Edge-Walk. Have fun in Turlock tonight David!

Anyway, many thanks to the two fans who were a no-show Front Row Center! DavidMn and I ran into each other before the show and he noticed the two empty seats in the front row and, although we were not sitting together, we decided that if those two front row center seats were not filled by the time the band took the stage, we'd upgrade ourselves. Long story short they didn't show up and we got the seats-as planned. Hard to believe I had front row center for all three L.A. shows. I told DavidMn that was because God loved us. We slid down the Karma slide last night that's for sure. I was totally shocked we got those seats as I'm sure everyone was eying them. Thank you God!

We both looked for you McTrouble before the show but we couldn't find you (second row far left) and I was surprised to learn you were probably standing quite near us at the stage. Glad you had a great time too! And, thank God there were no photogs blocking the stage. Whoever they were they were very inconspicuous.

Well, last night was a perfect end to a perfect five day three show run for me. Got plenty of eye contact last night-again. It's six a.m. and I'm still on fire. Have to end now as I have to go to work. And, Lindsey "See you next time, too."

Carol-Lynn

SoCalGalWow!

I thought it was you who moved down to front row - I saw you go!!!

By the time I got to the stage it was too late to fight my way over to say Hi as I wasn't going to give up my great position of leaning on the stage right in front of Brett!!!

Sorry I missed you!

Right at the stage!!.....I'm sure you were in Lindsey heaven!!!

Hey, I could quite have easily been in Brett heaven if my heart didn't totally belong to Lindsey!!!

I am now going to quit my little complaints about the hair and leather jacket - Lindsey is so totally gorgeous just as he is, and even hotter up close than I ever expected! I am more in love than ever!

I sure hope that those front row seats were un-sold scalpers to make up for the last time Lindsey played there and they got almost fifty percent of the first two rows because the Grove failed to release the pre-sale password on time. I ended up having to buy my front row seat from a scalper last time so this time I figured it was Karmaic payback.

Well, Brett is pretty cute! Maybe you should have asked him to go for drinks after the show! Then you could have got him to convince Lindsey to play a private show for Ledgies only!!

LB's hair does seem to look better when you see him in person. I could still go for it being darker, but I guess he doesn't plan to continually do that. The jacket was shorter than I expected, for some reason. Pics make it look longer.

It's no surprise to me that you're more in love than ever! I knew you'd say that!

Now that would be really something - a show dedicated to Ledgies. I'd fly over again for that one!

He did what you said he kept doing in Atlanta - continually hoiking up his jeans!

I won't say what I did about the continuous spray of sweat I collected on my person - don't want to gross everyone out!

OH, almost forgot to mention. The pre-concert instrumental music...mostly Lindsey himself, I heard new arrangements of "Stephanie" & "Bleed To Love Her"...a couple of other songs I recognized various guitar riffs, but couldn't come up with their titles (age related memory lapses setting in. So much for my "I can name that song in two notes" talent)...and an Indian raga-based song with a prominent sitar playing the melody and a vocal David Byrne tune (or what I ASSUMED was David Byrne on vocals)...both might even have been Lindsey, as well.

From talking to Richard (the assistant sound tech), it was a CD of 10 tunes that Lindsey gave them to play repeatedly during the audience "walk-in". No songs were labeled/titled...nor was there anything on the disc itself except the words, "walk-in disc".

I'd love to have a copy of that!

I asked Neale about that after the April 22 concert and he said that these were recorded by by the band when they were on the road for the GOS tour. I mentioned that LB's die hard fans would love to have them and he said they would be good bonus tracks. Hopefully they will surface one day.
