2 weeks ago I watched a movie on Polish TV starring David Hasselhoff. It was entitled "One True Love". I know it's one of those second rate TV movies with banal script and easy to predict happy end but it's so nice, that you just can't turn it off. Do you know this movie? In Poland it was shown few times (at least 2). David seems to be nice guy and that's all I can say. One time (when I was a temporary fan of "Knight Rider" ) I decided to explore his musical efforts. He was quite popular in Germany and I used to get a lot of German youth press from my aunt, so this is how I came by his music. To be honest, for lack of better words...it sucks I'm sorry, I don't want to offend you, but he should stay away from the recording studio. And those cheap videos... Oh and then there was "Baywatch", which changed the whole beach culture forever...and introduced for beter or worse such talents as Erika Eleniak or Pamela Anderson...Those were the times

Saw the title of thread and my first thought was Suzanna Hoffs of the Bangles. If that was the case, definitely yes. David Hasslehoff? Not so much. (although, I loved his appearance in that episode of SpongeBobSquarepants).

David Hasselhoff? Well, maybe when he was on Baywatch. He wasn't too bad on the eyes.

Susanna Hoffs?, yeah, I like her & The Bangles.

Yeah I thought Dustin Hoffman had a perfect record up to Tootsie, after that, it's been hit or miss. Oh wait...meh, used to ge a kick out of Knight Rider and his movie Layover was a good chezfest I guess but aside from that...

I read the title of this thread and thought it said "Hott Fans." Thought I'd click on it.

Am I disappointed?

Maybe.

I've loved "Looking For Freedom" ever since I was a kid. "Jump in My Car" is almost as good, so is "I Believe", his duet with Laura Branigan. "Hot Shot City" is quite nice. "A Real Good Feeling" is better in its original version by Peter Kent but Hasselhoff tried hard and it works. However, his attempts at singing in the German language are somewhat embarrassing but he is not the first for whom this didn't work out. "Crazy For You" is just a weak copy of that Village People song "YMCA". "Hooked On A Feeling" is fun in a campy kind of way.

Somehow, he never had a good producer during his career as a solo artist in music so far. All of them put him too deep into the Schlager genre. But he sure enough has got a great singing voice.

I think if David reprise his role as Michael Knight on the last remake. The show would of last alot longer as it did.

That last remake stinked with the over exaggerated FX on the show.

I love the 1980's version.they should of stayed with the format and with David as the lead part acting in the same position as Devon Miles .
