I like it! It's classic Stevie...Very mysterious and vaguely spooky...strange.

I like it but I don't love it. It could've been great but it's not, there's just too much going on.
Too many cuts, too many different people, too much Dave. Torry is beautiful and I don't mind that blonde girl (but she shouldn't smile with braces) but those 2 younger girls are unnecessary.
Waddy should only be filmed from a distance.

THIS IS FAB! I love it! C'mon, what did everyone expect? Cocaine-filled twirls like in I Can't Wait and Talk to Me? For a video that was shot AT HER HOUSE and in her backyard, I think this turned out pretty good.

This is definitely an upgrade from the last two (SL and FWIW) and WAYYYYYYY better than Everyday and Sorcerer.

I think Waddy fits this video perfectly, definitely looks like a vampire! Loved the shots of Lori and Sharon, especially Sharon walking through the woods.

I think we've all become a little spoiled since In Your Dreams came out. Just remember any year from the "Greatest Hits Hell" era. Can you imagine your reaction to this video if it were still that time in Stevie history? Everyone here would probably cream themselves and melt to the floor into a pile of chiffon.

You know what they say about opinions. And I mostly do know what i am talking about. Excuse the misspelling but the other song is far superior in my opinion and the video, if done correctly, could tell a great story.

Rudeness remains in abundance on The Ledge as always....

I am doing great....and just for the record, I am SO glad that Stevie is putting out a lot of videos for this CD but this song or video just doesnt do it for me. I cant really put my finger on it but it has no UMPH for me.

I have played the CD for a couple of very casual fans who are friends of mine. None had anything to say about Moonlight at all....neither good nor bad. It was just kind of "there" in their opinion. She needs to stop releasing mid tempo song after mid tempo song. Lets get some Stevie out there who is rockin the place. Thus...my suggestion for WSS.

Hope you are doing well also...

I hear ya John, I'm glad she's out there too but it's no secret that I'm not a huge fan of the CD over all. I know she's a different woman now and I'm glad she's in a good place but the CD is just dull to me. There's not a lot of umph behind it. As I've said before, I love "Secret Love" and "For What It's Worth." Those are the 2 that stood out to me from the start but I've tried to get into the CD and I just can't. Sigh! I know I know, call me Debbie Downer, call me Negative Nancy. And as much as I like you, I have to disagree about WSS. That is not a single worthy song at all. Even when Stevie was hot in the 80's, the song would have charted perhaps on her star power alone but it wouldn't have been a chart topper. It's just not a radio commerical song. At this point I don't think any song from the CD is going to garner any radio attention. I'm ready for her to do something more upbeat and fun.

Some kind of a plot or theme would have been greatly appreciated.

Don't get me wrong- I love good camp when I see it. But this is one song that does not lend itself to camp at all.

Oh, and what's up with the piano player? He looks like he would rather be filling out his federal tax return than playing the piano in this video.
Ummmm... how could that even be possible? Closer was directed by Mark Romanek, a giant in the history of music video's art innovations. The sad thing is that Stevie seems to be like most fans, thinking that music videos direct themselves. Dave's runamuck ego has been ruinous to the visual conception of the great album he produced.

By the way, are my eyes deceiving me, or is that the lovely Christine McVie in the photograph on the wall behind Lori?

Did you review each and every frame of this video? I totally love that Stevie has that hanging on the wall. It's not Christine, it's...

I didn't say that they needed to recreate every frame of the "Closer" video. My point was that they could have gone for something with a similar atmosphere- surreal, haunting, spooky, freaky, sepia-toned... Mark Romanek does not monopolize this sort of thing. I think they were onto something with all of the random "strange" people making cameos in the video. But they stopped short at "kinda different, but not particularly strange."

Mark Romanek is a certified genius with talent and Dave Stewart demonstrably has no sense for making movies. Therefore, to expect that Dave could ever achieve anything close the level of Closer in quality reveals a problem that, I think, Stevie shares--which Dave has exploited. I NEVER said that you said "they needed to recreate every frame of the 'Closer' video." That doesn't even make sense, so I wouldn't have imposed such a concept on you. There are lots of people with talent who could have made good music videos for this song (whether being similar in mood, tone, technique to Closer or not). Dave Stewart is not and never could be one of those people.
