I would like to see some of the undiscovered gems recorded. We could hope for one or two?

Julia: Fiest, because she could wrap her unique voice around this song and make it her own.
Silver Springs: Alison Krauss, hands down, could give this a flawless charm in line with the original.
Edge of Seventeen: Ann Wilson, could just bring down the house with this, a harder rocking version of course.
Blue Denim: Annie Lennox, She could breathe new life into this tune from the good Street Angel album.
Sara: Josh Grobin, could turn the tune into longing for lost love.
Gold Dust Woman: The timeless Paul Rodgers, whose powerhouse vocals could restore the tune's rightful place in classic rock.
Without You: The Civil Wars

On the other hand, if there was to be released so-called "Tribute Album" by other famous performers, then I would want to hear:

1. Linda Ronstadt performing "Rose Garden"
2. Annie Lennox performing "Doing The Best That I Can (escape from Berlin)"
3. Janis Ian performing "Landslide"
4. Amy Grant performing "For What It's Worth"
5. Bruce Springsteen performing "I Can't Wait" (in a big arena rock way )
6. Bryan Ferry singing "Rhiannon"
7. Phil Collins' take on "Kind of Woman"
8. Michael Stipe singing "Ble Denim"
9. Prince performing funky version of "Stand Back"
10. Phoebe Snow performing "You May Be The One" (that won't happen sadly due to the passing of this lovely lady)

Sinead O'Connor-"Beautiful Child"
Liza Minnelli -"Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You"
Billy Joel-"Rooms on Fire"
Kim Carnes-"Crystal"
Rod Stewart-"How Still My Love"
Cyndi Lauper-"Street Angel" (in a "True Colors" way) or "I Sing For The Things"
Gloria Estefan's Latino take on "Bombay Sapphires"
Thats a great list.Theres names of artists I love and have not heard from in a long time.

I would like to add Bonnie Tyler.Roberta Flack,Country singer Paulette Carlson to the list.

Well, I've just become Linda Ronstadt's fan (check out my Ronstadt's discovere post on this forum) and think she's absolutely fantastic vocalist and interpreter. When it comes to Bruce...I've been listening to his music since 12 years, so yes I am a fan definately I've got most of his albums (excluding only 2 compilations). I just love his lyrics and music, everything goes hand in hand. My favourite albums from him are "The Ghos of Tom Joad" and "Tunnel of Love".

Nice! Yeah, I have most of Ronstadt's stuff on vinyl- check out the Heart Like a Wheel, Simple Dreams and Prisoner in Disguise albums if you haven't yet. I am a lifelong Bruce fan too- I like Darkness on the Edge of Town the best.

Wow, a fan tribute album sounds like a fantastic idea!
If we were actually to do this I would love to help out with the singing, maybe on That's Alright, Gypsy or Sisters of the Moon ?

And what about Tracy Chapman doing her version of "Landslide"? I love her voice and think it should fit the moody style of the song.
