Right. And the mixing is more sophisticated -- the Fritz/BN demos didn't have any ~fancy~ backing vocals or harmonies, if I remember correctly (I haven't listened to them in a long time).

Someone on youtube has the Cecelia demo posted with If You Were My Love as outtakes from the BN era. I posted a comment with the years for both songs (1978/9 and 1982), but it looks like it was deleted.

Weird! Oh well, your experience highlights why one should never trust the veracity of YouTube descriptions!

I agree that "Cecelia" was Tusk-ish (there's a version of "Sisters of the Moon" from the Tusk tour where she incorporates some of the lyrics from that song into it) and, while I can't be 100% positive, I'm fairly certain "If You Were My Love" was written post-1975.

One that some say is a Fritz/BN demo, but to me sounds like it's later, is "Stay Away."

The recordings of that with Fleetwood Mac were most assuredly post-1975, since they use instruments on the demo that weren't even manufactured until 1978.

In regard to any of the demos ascribed to Fritz, didn't Javier say that the band used none (or practically none) of Stevie's songs? The idea that the members of Fritz were playing all these Nicks songs doesn't match what we've been told. Or does the Fritz ascription merely mean that Stevie recorded these demos during her time in Fritz?

As far as I know, Maureen was the first one who started circulating many of these so-called Fritz demos, but she never identified the source of the ascription. The Fritz demos we got from Javier or other members were a lot more obviously Fritz or Fritz era.

Lemme throw in some Fritz titles:
Wondering Why (1968)
Bold Narcissus (1969. Lindsey is Narcissus )
Funny Kind of Love (aka Deep Dense)
Bolder Empress
Tomorrow Come Today
Joy (not the same as Louisa Joy)
Keep on Running (Stevie lead)
A Dream Away (1970, Stevie lead. the lyrics to this remind me of After the Glitter Fades!)
Nowhere Fast
Black is Black (cover of the Los Bravos song I wonder if Lindsey sang this)

1967 Fritz setlist:

it says that stevie sang codeine is that the buffy saint marie song? If it is that would be SICK! Janis Joplin did a version of it and so did Donovan. That song makes me break down it is so good. If anyone has that mp3 I will collapse. For now this is my favorite version from donovan (if its the song).
