So sad when one thinks of what could have been! But....Stevie wouldn't be the person she is now had she bypassed those experiences!

I totally agree, and personally speaking from a die hard fan's perspective from the beginning of Stevie's solo career, I've recently reconciled any could of/should of done decisions in Stevie's career. In Your Dreams made my dreams come true, and has righted Stevie's artistic vision now perfectly aligned. I can now dare say with no reservation - I wouldn't change a thing...for the most part.

That's rather unkind.

If you guys are talking about Chris Nicks song...she claimed it was The Nightmare...he stood with you against the storm...well...that was a mystery...
Chris was supposedly like a big protective little brother...a piece of family so she wouldn't be homesick...and he was the buffer between her and "...the people that gathered around her...do you remember that they were the most cruel..."

Personally, I think he could have done better,

Just a fleeting thought of mine.

You know, someone else did say The Nightmare, but I thought they were kidding, so I didn't pay attention. Thanks.

Great observation! Lindsey did address Stevie's "quirk" in the that documentary. Notice how defensive she got? "You woudn't say that to Bob Dylan!"

I don't think she is even aware of the concept of tenses. Though I think it sometimes confuses the meaning of the lyric, making it hard to follow, and I often thought of it as a weakness in her writing, I've come to terms with it. It's just one of many things that makes Stevie...Stevie!

Now that's just plain funny...
