These "survivor" polls are started to become boring to me, since I'm basically voting the same couple of songs off every round.

Me too!! It's SOOO beautiful and perfect, I could listen to it literally for the rest of my life and never get sick of it.

GDW, SS, and R are generally considered her definitive songs (along with Gypsy), so that Sara will be number 4 is impressive. And, in many ways, I'd say it is the fulfillment of her muse--the Stevie epic song combined with the Lindsey/Mac magic.

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

I think that "Landslide" & "Edge" & even "Leather and Lace" make that list before "Silver Springs", if by "generally considered" you mean the general public.
I do agree about "Sara". It took me years to appreciate what a masterpiece it is. The production is brilliant.

I still firmly believe that if this was out of the set thats sisters of the moon could return. The recorded version of dreams on the album is georgeous, but people have voted it off because they are sick of hearing it live. I present that same argument to gold dust woman. Because most people love it because the live versions are amazing. The album track is cool but she really sells it live. I'm just tired of it. The dance and sound stage were fantastic, but now that it's been filmed in recorded to perfection put it away. And let's make room for something else. If sisters of the moon was given the full blown gold dust woman witchy treatment then it would be amazing and people wouldnt NEED the agabugadagidja drownen gidajagighadsvea weird scream
thing that she did on some of the mirage tour shows
I have to disagree with you there. GDW is the only one of her songs that has always sounded good every time she attempts it (even back in the Klonopin haze), plus it tends to sound different from tour to tour to a greater extent than "Landslide" or "Dreams". And unlike other staples like "Stand Back", it does not suffer when she refuses to move those feet. I am fine with her adding SOTM, but I do not want to see GDW go.

IA. "Gold Dust Woman" is simply iconic, and has become an anthem on stage. That's why it has endured like some great myth or ancient queen. I also agree w/ darklinensuit, in that it has evolved on stage throughout its existence & is more powerful and meaty with time.
SOTM is more like GDW's back-alley step-sister, potent in her own subversive way, but worshipped by precious few. SOTM is a great song, much like GDW it is better live then on record, but it simply is the subordinate composition. imo of course
