I already listed all the things Stevie was on during that month on VH1. VH1 may not have the same ratings it had years ago, but nobody is saying she should have had anything to do with VH1 for IYD. What we are saying is that unlike in 2001, WB did not make any exclusive deals or promotional packages like they did with VH1. And you are right. Sales are down and even WB best attempts at marketing the album probably would not have done much. But anyone who believes WB put more effort into promoting IYD than they did TISL is severely deluded.

I feel bad for you because I think you think are being attacked. That's not it. Whether or not WB put as much promotion into this album is not the point. The point is this album has recieved more promotion because of Stevie than any other album and it's not quite the failure people seem to think it is. She has done the best she could promoting this thing and she doesn't really have an outlet on the radio or television to promote it because rock is not in right now. Hell, buying music is not in right now. The travesty is she put out a very SOLID album that deserves to be heard and she can't seem to find the right outlet or right way to get people to at least listen to it.

I want to tell to you that my brother finally heard the whole album. I was on the phone with him today and I did not mention Stevie Nicks. He said, out of the blue, you know I finally listened to that Stevie Nicks album and it's a really good album. He loves Italian Summer. He was really surprised because he did not like Trouble in Shangri La and wasn't expecting much. He's been listening to her new album for an entire week and he thinks it is one of the best car CD's he's ever had. Stevie can win back fans with this new album if people only hear the whole album, and not the poor choices of singles she has released. He also mentioned that Secret Love sounded alot better on the CD, than it did live on tv.

I have made several posts on this topic, all including things WB did during TISL and did during IYD, with TISL being the overwhelming one. WB not making a deal with VH1 for IYD was never something I even used to prove my point. Perhaps you should go back and read instead of making up arguments out of nothing. Warner Brothers promoted TISL more than they did IYD and that was all I was saying in my original post, correcting Jondalar who seems to believe Warner Brothers pulled out all the stops for IYD, which several of you jumped on and said I was wrong. And I am not bitching about "what all WB did wrong". Did you not read my last post? I clearly agreed with you saying that even if WB did promote her album more, it probably wouldn't have boosted sales. What I am saying is that Warner Brothers Records did not promote In Your Dreams as much as they promoted Trouble In Shangri-la. There really is no argument there. The evidence is pretty cut and dry. Also my argument about Katy Perry is to help tone down these radical claims that NOBODY buys music anymore and that we can somehow use Katy Perry's album sales to justify Stevie's. People still buy music, just not as many full albums. So before people go comparing Stevie Nicks' album sales to Katy Perry's, perhaps they should look at what Katy Perry is really selling. And unless you are a record company marketing exec, perhaps you should take your own advice.

Well, Stevie was never a singles artists. I mean the OTSOTM went gold with only a #16 hit on it and eventually became platinum. They are two different things.
