I was at this show, and I have to say that this was somewhat true, that the old songs received not the most energetic readings. But I was there for the new songs, even though I'm an old fan. And the new songs were well done and Stevie was in VERY good form as far as voice goes.
The reviewer from the other Twin Cities paper couldn't get past the fact that Christine has retired - he spent half his review complaining about that. Too bad - this tour is different. I love Christine, and as a keyboard player myself, I miss her, but this is what is. And it's damn good.
