Default My Worcester 5/27/03 Review (I know It's late)

I came up from Rhode Island to Worcester to attend both of the shows. I arrived at the arena around 7PM with some friends from the Internet who picked me up at my hotel. I go to the Will Call window and pick up my 5th row seat. I get past security with my camera. I head toward my seat, which is in front of Lindsey. This was my 3rd show so far but the one I was most excited about because it was the closest to my hometown.
The show started about 8:30. As the lights went down I could the excitement in the air. The last time I got to see the Mac in this venue was back in 1982.
Again the set list was the same as the other shows that I had gone to see. There were some great moments at this show. During the song “Come” Lindsey had his eyes closed and he looked like he was having a religious/out of body experience. I closed my eyes for a few seconds and I just felt as if I was at someplace like Woodstock.
I was taking some photos and I think Lindsey saw me and I don’t think he minded. I think he kind of liked it as a matter of fact. I was pretty quiet for most of the show trying to take photos. On “Tusk” and “Stand Back” I was dancing around. I think that the band sees this and responds favorably to it.
Stevie was in rare form. She seemed so happy to be there. She must have had a great birthday! She sounded great. She did the twirls and danced a bit. I missed seeing the little “running in the shadows” dance that she does with her hands because I was fiddling with my camera.
There was a guy who during “Tusk” jumped right on stage. He was dancing around like he was at a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert more then a Fleetwood Mac concert. Security was right on him and had him in a headlock. I don’t think that Stevie noticed at first but she seemed OK with it.
Well, it was a great first night in New England. I still had one more night to go.

Hi Pattie,
I was also there both nights and submitted a very condensed version in the concert reviews page but I have more that could be written when time allows.
It is never too late to post this stuff as I enjoy reading them. I loved the 28th show the best probably because I was closer than on the first night.

Mac greetings to you

Hi Pattie and Christa

I was at the Worcester concert on the 28th too. This was my first FM concert and I thought it was great. I wish I had been closer (we were in row 107 section NN) but at least we could see the stage pretty good. The only problem we had (and it had nothing to do with the concert) was that the girls in front of us stood through pratically the whole concert. Which really didn't bother me cause I wanted to stand and dance the whole concert too!! But it seemed like most of the people in the bleachers just wanted to sit.

Hopefully they will come east again (I'll go Albany, Hartford, Boston even Maine) and I would love to get seats in the first couple of rows.

Thanks for your review Pattie!

I was so in awe of Lindsey and I had full eyes on him during Tusk that I missed that part with the guy jumping on stage, my friend who was with me told me about it after the show so I was clueless about it. In a very serious Lindsey daze there!

Three shows, lucky you.
Tell me, are there still no tour books? Any new merchandise? Any changes?
(Please lie & say Stevie's back in boots.)

LOL I have been in a "Lindsey daze' since the Ft Lauderdale show when he looked right at me. Then he had to smile at me at the Tampa show. Damn that Lindsey. I should have tried to go up to the front to play his guitar but I was afraid that I would fall flat on my face.

Hi Pattie I think I would have fainted if I went near him and his guitar
I hope they swing back towards CT and RI during their second leg. I would love to see them again.
Are you travelling anywhere else to see them on this leg of the tour? Are you praying with me for more New England dates on the second leg?
Take care

Sorry, Jake but NO tour books, yet.
Stevie had the Reeboks on at the 2 Florida shows. Maybe she will wear them at the TX show, however. LOL

Yes, I am travelling to a few more shows, Las Vegas being my next show. I booked a whole package from Southwest thru AAA back in April. I was happy that it was on the holiday weekend so I could travel without taking time out of work.

I am keeping my fingers crossed for a Providence date!!! That would be so great. They haven't played here with Lindsey in the band since 1979. I think that he needs some nice Italian food. LOL

I don't even know what I would do in front of Lindsey and his guitar. I would be like that Wayne's World skit when they bow and say" I'm not worthy".
