That ought to be great. I'm looking forward to that thing.
Trivia: Stevie sang "Not Fade Away" with Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers at Compton Terrace in July 1985 (it was the Pack Up the Plantation/Southern Accents tour). It's on tape.

This sounds really good
Once again I'm so impressed with Stevie's 2011 voice on record I was a little worried what she was going to sound like after some of her vocal performances on SYW, but her voice on IYD and this sound like her best vocal years since .............A long time! Maybe even since TITN. For me her voice really became flat starting with OSOTM through BTM, then resurged a bit on SA..and even more again on The Dance. But TISL & SYW had a few really gravely & flat moments:shrug |

This is awesome! She's letting her voice take command and not worrying about being perfect.

but thanks for the heads up! definitely sounds like she's letting it rip vocally!

I agree. The style of music is not my cup of tea one iota, but I most certainly appreciate her loosening up some vocally (even if it is a bit strained sounding).

Cool!
She sounds really good, almost as if this is the type of music she enjoys or either no stress if that makes sense.

Is her version going to be on the album? Her name appears on the CD cover's roster of artists. Yet, I recall reading that "Not Fade Away" was also recorded by another artist, and that version was chosen over Stevie's!

LOVE her vocals on this song. Reminds me of her singing "It's Late". Her voice is so well suited for this music.

Boo... it's fun! I love rockabilly-ish type stuff if done well, which this most certainly is by the sounds of it.
