And the weather is just beautiful - overcast with a slight cool breeze. I feel sorry that you are unable to attend, but one must do what one must do. I fled to Pennsylvania. I'm not complaining or trash talking promoters or Stevie herself. There are obviously thousands who agree with me because they are here with me tonight.
Amen! I'm still on my way to NY (Albany) tomorrow for SPAC! Nothing could stop me (except for no airplane )

Default enjoy all..

i had planned on being there with you.. but I was standing there at the crossroads..

decided not to go, mainly because of my cat. My neighbor agreed to feed her and check in, but I didn't want to leave her alone with the storm outside. Her name is Rhiannon.. I had no choice.

anyways, enjoy the show Bethel.. I hope someone captures an audio and shares.. I think the "Irene" show is going to be wicked..

so chiffonheadit... and be safe going home..

I hope everyone enjoyed the show and is getting home safe and sound cause pretty much everything is shut down thru tuesday only emergency vehicles and emergency people on roads only for ny,nj,ct,mass and ri. Glad the show went on and everyone had a great time and hopefully all will get home safe and sound.

Bethel's website shows that the stage is pretty enclosed. It's a really nice stage.
I hope that everyone who went to the show will check in and let us know you're alright.

Just got back. The rain held off for most of the show, but it started to rain ever so slightly towards the end. And the wind has picked up a little bit now, but it's still nothing out of the ordinary for a rainstorm. Anyway, a few observations:

-Stevie was in good voice tonight! I mean, she always sounds good these days, but I thought she sounded exceptional tonight.

-Stevie called the crowd "really dedicated fans" and then cried out "let's get the hurricane party started!" Every time the wind kicked up a little, she would say "Irene?" "Irene?" She seemed to be in an extraordinarily silly mood and very smiley. I'm not going to say she toked before the show, but...

-She dedicated "Landslide" to a woman named Paula in the audience who was currently battling cancer.

-There was an announcement on the loudspeakers before the show that Stevie has requested that nobody photograph, video or record any part of the show. And throughout the show, the guards- some of the friendliest guards I have ever seen, by the way, were pretty strict about enforcing it. I really didn't see anyone using their cameras during the show. That being said, after the Edge walk, I video'd "Love Is" from the stage, which I shall upload if the paltry wifi here can handle it. I think Voyager II gets a stronger signal in deep space.

-Unfortunately the new outfit debuted on GMA did not make a reappearance.

-The Bethel Woods site is gorgeous. I have never seen a concert setting so immaculately manicured and landscaped. It has beautiful views of the Catskills and is full of stone buildings and white tents. Oh, and plenty of vegan/vegetarian fare! Probably one of the nicest, most civilized concert experiences I've ever had. But the guard rail in front of the front row is a BIG drawback IMHO.

Looking forward to Boston!!!!!
