I swear, it happened. I may be getting June mixed up with April, but, we definitely had a week of snow sometime in spring/summer. Unless I'm going mad. I can definitely remember it, mainly cause it was just so weird. And the aforementioned iceballs. I remember those vividly
Yes, I know and most people have never heard of Cleveland although technically it is no longer a county.

I can definitely remember snow in April -more than once.

This actually sounds a lot like Seattle besides the fact that Seattle only gets a week max of snow! Perfect -- I think I'll love it there.

How much rain are we talking?

On bad days? Near constant. On others? Just a heavy shower, maybe lasting half an hour or so. Most of the time, the rain is just lazy, drizzling rain. We don't get many thunderstorms or the like, but, we get a loooot of rain.

Don't go there Dani! No, seriously it's difficult to say. You have to remember England isn't known for it's good climate. You can get some seriously wet spells
and some days it rains non-stop - even in summer. Generally though, its not bad but it would be unfair to say we didn't have a lot of rain in Autumn/Winter but more often than not I would say (as the TV weatherman does) that it's intermittent showers. In a pretty city like Durham though it's not too dreary. Just make sure you buy an umbrella on your shopping trip!

Okay, so Seattle 2.0.... But what you guys are describing sounds a bit worse. In Seattle, we got a steady, all day drizzle 3 days a week or so all winter and only occasional hard rain.

I remember it snowing in June. Someone had said "I'll do that when it snows in June" to a teacher, and it did, so he had to do whatever it was.

Dani, you're best stocking up over here as and when. It's normally hot on my Birthday in the north west but that's 1 week away and I'm expecting to be wearing long sleeves this year haha.

JTIS: Next door are having another alcohol fuelled mum's-out-of-town house party. They're 14. TURN THE GOT DAMN MUSIC DOWN CHILDREN PUHLEASE. My dad's going to wake up if they don't stop, and I fear he'll put a window through if they wake him. He's working at 8 tomorrow and it's 1.16am now. Uncool.

I couldn't resist adding that special touch to your statement.

Would you feel the same way if they were blasting nothing but Christine McVie songs?

At 2.22am I would have been just as angry, trust me. Christine, Blondie, ABBA, LMFAO, Temper whateveritis, it would have made no difference.

Rowan, if you're reading this, where are you? Your Facebook's gone, you're not on MSN, your PMs are full on here? wth?

I know yesterday he was in Manchester, because last week he asked if I wanted to meet up. I was going to, but my bank account is DRY and I wouldn't have been able to afford it. I don't know about his Facebook because the great Facebook crash of last year wiped a substantial amount of friends from my account and refuses to allow me to add them again :s I hope he's okay.
