Chatting with Lindsey Buckingham

Oh, that was a lovely interview and I love that he was able to ask Lindsey about specific lines in the new songs.

Even though I thought there wasn't even anyone on the line in the record exec phone calls Lindsey simulated on his DVD, when he's discussing shopping his album around this time and talking to a friend he's had for 20 years who couldn't find a place for him, the feeling, frustration and hurt that comes from those exchanges is very real and I'm sad to think about it.

You know, if Tony Bennett got that runaround when he wanted to release a new duets album full of standards, I could understand it. But it's tough to have no one want to take a chance on Lindsey's new stuff that is so innovative.

I liked him saying maybe he had control issues, heh? Just maybe.
