Question Anywhere I can download a Peacekeeper (single version) MP3?

Hi everbody,

I'm sorry to put this in its own thread. I did a search both on the message board and with google and didn't find anything to help me. I'm trying to put together a compilation of some "Say You Will" non-album stuff for a very dear friend of mine, and I want very much to include the excellent single mix of "Peacekeeper" but I can't find it anywhere, and my Kazaa is currently disabled. Does anyone know if there's a site that has it available for download? I'd really appreciate anyone who could point me in the right direction, either by replying here or e-mailing me at [email protected]

Thanks very much for any help

Mick Vee

Is that the album version or the single remix version that's available on www.fleetwoodmac.com?

Hmm OK good question. I assumed that the official download - seeing as it's what's on the Billboard Singles charts, is the single remix. Really the only difference that I'm aware of is the lyrics change from 'only kill' to 'break their will'.
But now people are saying that the radio is playing the original Lindsey version, so maybe that's what you mean?

Given how badly the whole fan club thing has turned out, I expected they're just selling the same version of the song online that I've already bought on the CD. Or at least that would be my luck. As far as the single version/remix of "Peacekeeper", I think you're right about the differences, at least lyrically. I've heard it on the radio a couple of times and the "only kill/break their will" seems to be the only lyrical difference I remember, but the mix itself is very different. Stevie's vocals are much more prominent in the choruses on the remix. It sounds very different, much more like a duet, rather than just lead vocals and backing vocals. That's the version I want to try to find. I know I could track down a promo CD single with that version, but I kind of need it in a hurry. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

As a person who has bought the download single, I can assure you that the version available on the official mac site IS different than the one on the album. It replaces "only kill" with "break their will" and fades out during the ending chorus unlike the album version, whcih ends with Lindsey's "only kill" on the album version.

Thanks so much for the info! I think that may be the version I'm after.
