^Thanks! I was excited!! I said "Hey Stevie" and she said "Hello" ... but she was saying it to everyone, she did manage to look straight at you though when she was shaking your hand. She's so gracious. Those darn chain gloves are weird feeling though! I think that's why I grabbed her thumb. LOL.

Here are a few photos from my phone during Edge & her thanks which was really sweet.

She said she really appreciated us listening to her new songs and how much it meant to her as a songwriter and that we listened with grace. She said they'd be back to Atlanta, they loved Atlanta. My paraphrase but she was very genuine. Oh, and there were several of us standing and singing along with For What It's Worth. So much that she could hear us and at the end she was really tickled about it and said "Now, on Landslide I want to hear you singing the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th harmony! All the harmony parts!" LOL - that was cute. Then before Landslide she mentioned the song was about whether or not she should break up with Lindsey and then she smiled really big and kinda laughed as she said, "I guess I made the right decision! I guess!" LOL! And she went on to say that the song has all the memories of that time wrapped up in it.

Oh and by the way - she looks fabulous!! These pics do not do her justice. You can tell she's really trimmed down. And, the corset on the outside of the dress does not look bad at all in person. It looks a little odd to me in pictures.

Thats exactly how it was in the Woodlands. Everybody stood up for her hits, but they all sat down during anything new and then bitched about me standing. No wonder Stevie bitches about playing new songs.

I didn't notice it much. Maybe once when she started chatting which she did try not to do, but bless her heart she is just a chatty cathy and has a hard time trying not to talk. Anyway, she didn't sound overly hoarse but I did get the feeling that if she continued talking it could easily go that way. She saved most of the talking for her thanks at the end and Soldier's Angel besides her little speech about Landslide which was fairly brief. In fact, prior to Moonlight she had told us she would not be talking as much and on the intro to that song she simply said, "Moonlight - A Vampire's Dream".

Ha! That reminds me when she was telling us she wasn't supposed to talk to us (lol) she went on to say not only how hard that was but that people leave the room and she'll just talk to her dog.

And, she did specify it wasn't her singing that hurt the throat it was the talking and how she had done so many interviews and press for promoting IYD that it had taken it's toll.

Good! She talks way too much during her shows these days. For me, all that chatter kills the momentum, flow and mystery of the show. And I don't think most people, except maybe us Ledgies, necessarily want to hear her go on and on and on like she does.

Question

Are you sure she was OK? She looks a little rough in some of those pics though thanks for them. Maybe it's the lighting? I hate it when she gets sick & she's been getting sick a lot here lately.

^^ I'm liking the black skirt with the cream top and bodice. Kinda makes her look like a giant penguin.

Just got back home. She was AMAZING. Seriously, her voice sounded phenomenal, and she really seemed to be having fun the whole night. She was darned cute.

When she was introducing Annabel Lee, she was like, "This song was written by Edgar Allan Poe, and he's going to be singing it with me!" And she put her arm around an imaginary person and then introduced herself to him, like, "Edgar, Stevie. Stevie, Edgar."

After GAG, she went up to the mic and was like, "At the first show I tried to walk to the sides of the stage and play the tambourine for everyone, but then I realized you couldn't hear it unless I was right in front of the mic! So I'm pushing to invent something that can go on my tambourine so I can dance around and you can still hear. 'Cause If I'm going to play like this [insert Stevie playing the tambourine here], I want you guys to hear it!" (paraphrased, but, y'know. The gist.)

Also of note: she got choked up at the end of Soldier's Angel.

And like CADreaming said, she did tell everyone that next time, she wanted to hear everyone singing second and third harmonies on FWIW

THEY PLAYED THE FWIW MUSIC VIDEO IN THE BACKGROUND. Did they do that before? I hadn't heard that they did but it's hard to catch everything sometimes. But seriously, it was so amazing. I cried a little bit, not even gonna lie. If people haven't seen it yet, I can elaborate, 'cause I watched it the whole time.

ummm what else.

Oh, during Love Is.. Stevie started singing, "Do you know what this is? No, I don't." And someone a few rows up goes "Yeah, neither do I!" which, I realize was rude, but was kind of clever.

Her voice was in top form. This is the best I've heard her sound all year. Also, she does look really, really thin, and the pictures don't do her justice. The outfits aren't unflattering at all in reality.
