I then bought ANOTHER ticket somewhere in the middle. I thought to myself, hmmmm so somebody is already sitting in my seat? Had to see for myself, I go talk to the girl up front & told her my story, she's all wow man that sucks, she points to my seat & says, theres nobody there so go ahead...then she says "Wait", even better sit here, front row center!!!!

to instead of canceling the show that is nearly sold out would be rather reschedule the show so do not lose the money it doesn't make sense not to reschedule than to cancel a show she has plenty of time to reschedule that show.

i might sound crazy, but is there anything one could do to help ticket sales? i bought the maximum ticket limit for bristow. i'm guessing they'll fill up jiffy lube live once the prices drop and contests end. it's a shame when i saw Stevie in 01 w/ new music she played a sold out jones beach & PNC. now the lawn isn't open.

I was thinking of that like you are now.I did call StubHub about that question.Plus other ledges bought tickets from StubHub as they helped me out..Did you get a computer printout sent to you .They said they were legit from a good broker.Yes in a emergency I would buy from Stubhub again.
BTW.lets pray for Stevie to get will and let her sing her heart out for us.

This concept may be hard for the younger Ledgies to grasp but for the Tusk tour the high ticket price was $15.50 and believe it or not, that was a lot of freakin' money back then!!!

Yes, and good tickets were nearly impossible to obtain or shows sold out very, very quickly. There was typically a single pricing tier throughout the arena such that the $15.50 ticket price was applied, regardless of whether you were in the front row or in the back row of the nosebleeds. High ticket prices are a double-edged sword. They suck, but at least they help to ensure the availability of good seats. Today it is still possible to find tickets to concerts in the $20 - $45 range; however, you are going to sit in the back.

That isn't the whole problem; it's the size of the venues that is the major issue. She would have been better served playing a few nights @ Radio City or a similar venue. But, since it seems LiveNation's philosophy is "greed is good", we get outdoor sheds that she hasn't got a snowball's chance in h*ll of filling. But, LiveNation recoups the investment by charging exhorbitant prices for the prime seats, which get sold either to "true" fans or brokers. Selling the cheaper seats is just gravy.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm fairly certain Stevie gets paid no matter how many tickets are sold, what is called an "artist's guarantee". LiveNation's escape clause is easy-cancel the show if it's not economically feasible. |
